Trade Finance Specialist (Russian Speaking) – Dubai
We are supporting a dry bulk trading house in their search for a Trade Finance Specialist to join their Dubai office. This role sits within the finance/operations function and plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth financial execution of physical trades across global markets.
The position will work closely with trading, operations, and finance teams, overseeing invoices, documentation, and payments, ensuring all transactions are aligned with contractual terms and internal controls.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and validating invoices to ensure alignment with contractual terms and approvals
- Managing and processing payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across transactions
- Handling trade finance documentation, including Letters of Credit (LCs), ensuring compliance with agreed terms
- Liaising with banks, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction flow
- Supporting the end-to-end trade lifecycle from a financial and documentation perspective
- Working closely with operations to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless execution
- Monitoring exposures and ensuring adherence to internal risk and compliance procedures
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting audit and reporting requirements
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience in trade finance / trade support / operations within commodities or trading
- Strong experience with invoicing, payments, and LC documentation
- Fluent Russian and English (essential for counterparty interaction)
- Good understanding of physical trade flows and contract structures
- Strong attention to detail with a process-driven mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume trading environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise across multiple stakeholders
