Role Description

The Upstream Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing upstream mammalian processes for biologics production. Responsibilities include process design, implementation of process controls, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues. The engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across analytics and downstream processes. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Cambridge, MA.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Process Design and Process Control techniques
• Proficiency in Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering principles
• Excellent Analytical Skills for data-driven decision making and problem-solving
• Hands-on experience with mammalian bioprocess optimization and scale-up is required up to 500L
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or related field
• Previous industry experience in biologics or biopharmaceutical manufacturing is a bonus
