Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial planning, performance analysis, and strategic decision-making within our logistics and asset based operations.

This role will partner closely with operations, transportation, and leadership teams to improve profitability, optimize cost structures, and drive data-backed business decisions.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance within a logistics, transportation, or distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting

• Perform quarterly forecasting processes for logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution costs.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and future growth opportunities.
• Support annual budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
• Support weekly Cash Flow forecast modeling

Business Partnering

• Collaborate with logistics and operations leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives.
• Present financial results and operational trends to senior management in a clear, concise manner.

Reporting & Performance Management

• Prepare monthly management reports, variance analyses, and profitability dashboards.
• Ensure accurate tracking of spend, capital expenditures, and operational investments.
• Knowledge of cost-to-serve analysis and customer profitability modeling.
• Support ad hoc analysis related to fleet expansion and full lifecycle truck ROI

Process Improvement

• Improve financial reporting automation and streamline forecasting tools.
• Enhance data accuracy and consistency across finance and operations systems (ERP, TMS).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through financial insights and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 1 to 3 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in logistics, supply chain, distribution or manufacturing industries.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, Power Query preferred).
• Experience working with ERP and logistics-related systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, NetSuite, TMS platforms).
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of financial statement concepts and GAAP
