About the role

Original posting from Prospera Executive

Prospera Executive has been instructed on a VP Finance search for a high-growth, private equity-backed fintech platform operating at the intersection of payments and vertical SaaS.

The business is entering its next phase of scale following recent investment, transitioning from founder-led finance to a more institutional, data-driven operating model. The VP Finance will report directly to the CFO and play a critical role in building out the FP&A and broader finance function, supporting product expansion, commercial strategy, and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CFO and wider leadership team, providing financial insight, commercial analysis, and decision support
  • Build and lead the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning (LRP)
  • Develop KPI frameworks and reporting across a hybrid revenue model (payments + SaaS)
  • Own unit economics, pricing, and monetisation analysis across multiple product lines
  • Lead board and investor reporting, delivering clear performance insights in a PE environment
  • Support strategic initiatives, including growth investments, scenario modelling, and potential M&A
  • Implement scalable systems, processes, and reporting infrastructure to support rapid growth
  • Build and develop a high‑performing finance team while remaining hands‑on

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven finance leader (VP Finance / Head of FP&A / Finance Director) within fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS
  • Strong track record in building and scaling FP&A functions in high‑growth environments
  • Deep understanding of revenue modelling, unit economics, and commercial finance
  • Experience operating in a private equity‑backed or high‑growth environment, with board exposure
  • Highly commercial, with the ability to partner across product, sales, and leadership teams
  • Hands‑on, with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically

This is a high‑impact role for a finance leader looking to build the finance engine of a scaling fintech platform, with clear exposure to executive leadership and investors.
