Job Description

The Opportunity:

As the Vice President of Quantitative Programs, you will be an integral part of our team, bringing your expertise in portfolio construction and risk analytics to drive initiatives that support Fisher Investments' Strategic Initiatives program within Portfolio Management Group (PMG). Reporting to the Vice President, you will mentor a talented team, conduct thorough analyses, and provide actionable recommendations, all while collaborating with senior members of our portfolio management team. Your quantitative research and qualitative methodologies will be critical in helping us innovate and meet our clients’ investment goals.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Lead and provide subject matter expertise for cross-departmental programs focused on analytics, risk management, portfolio construction, and automation.
  • Manage and prioritize programs, ensuring successful delivery of measurable outcomes that align with our value proposition.
  • Drive strategic innovation by assessing needs and implementing new programs that provide significant benefits or opportunities.
  • Foster relationships with key partners across all impacted business units including IT, Legal, Compliance, Human Capital, Third-party Vendors, and other PMG teams.
  • Create and oversee training materials to enhance development for teams and business units.
  • Coach, mentor, and train program team members on specialized knowledge and products.
  • Identify, build, and track key metrics to evaluate success and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Communicate prioritization of important feature enhancements to partner vendors to ensure quality solutions.
  • Organize research and testing efforts, effectively communicating results to guide successful program rollouts and ongoing strategy optimization.
  • Advance the education of Fisher employees on recommended solutions during rollout and continued production use.
  • Lead change management initiatives within your team and across PMG.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in optimization technology, leading investment and portfolio-related programs utilizing quantitative analytics.
  • Proven ability to engage and collaborate with various sources, including senior management and internal clients, complemented by excellent communication skills.
  • Skilled in identifying needs and designing effective solutions.
  • Adept at working both independently and in collaborative team environments.
  • Quick to adapt to shifting priorities and demands with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with portfolio construction tools such as Axioma, Barra, and/or FactSet.
