SBI Canada Bank is a leading Schedule II bank in Canada and is the subsidiary of India’s largest bank, State Bank of India. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President-Risk to join our Risk team.
Location: Downtown Toronto (Financial District); on-site attendance 5 days per week. This position reports to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and is primarily responsible for performing the following functions: · Review and enhance second line challenge process and manage risk enterprise management policies, guidelines, risk controls and limits, methodologies and metrics for risk measurement to ensure appropriate risk diversification on both credit portfolio and transactional basis.
· Enhancing the Bank’s operational risk management program including third party, cyber security, climate risk, operational resilience and business continuity
· Preparation of ICAAP
· Monitor enterprise-wide key risk indicators.
· Maintain and enhance ORM tools viz, RCSA, EWRA, BPM etc
· Provide challenge to credit proposals and ensure asset quality reviews.
· Conduct stress tests and scenario analyses. · Conduct controls testing.
· Regularly measure, evaluate, and report on the Bank’s risk profile. · Prepare risk reports for business lines, senior management, and the Board.
· Provide quality review by analyzing and reporting on lending within the organization.
· Conduct training / workshops related to enterprise-wide risk management for various stakeholders.
· Act as secretary to the Risk Management Committee
· Keep abreast with regulatory guidelines.
· Perform any other duties as assigned by the CRO.

Job Requirements
· University degree in business, risk management, finance, economics or similar area required.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Well versed with extant guidelines of the Regulators including for third party risk, cyber security risk and climate risk.
· 3 years operational Risk management experience in financial industry · Strong analytical skills with ability to understand various operations and assess the effectiveness of controls.
· Ability to problem-solve and multi-task.
· Work effectively in a group environment.
