Job Summary:

Virtual Care Referral Coordinators are responsible for the coordination of various referral orders. Including internal and external referrals for Speciality and Imaging orders. The team is responsible for appointment scheduling, insurance verification, requesting results or medical records, and communicating updates to providers and members.

Responsibilities:

Assist members via telephone and messaging as part of a virtual primary care team to ensure that all external and internal referrals and orders such as specialist referrals, imaging orders, prior authorizations and other orders, are complete and properly routed to the appropriate external provider.

Assist patients with maps, facility location and direct dial numbers.

Coordinate medical records to ensure that all required records, imaging, and/or procedural results are available to the external provider before the patient's appointment and added to the internal medical record for provider review.

Assist in the management of electronic medical records and records requests

Assist providers in completing patient forms (i.e. Medical Opinion forms, SSI Disability forms) when appropriate.

Work collaboratively with staff including providers, the care team and patient support, compliance, etc.

Be able to handle a fast-paced dynamic environment with competing priorities

The hourly pay for this full time, contract position is $19.00 per hour in the United States. This posted range reflects the portion of our internal pay band that is currently funded for new hires in this role across our standard labor markets (Zones A–C). 

For context, these markets include Zone A (e.g., Phoenix AZ, San Antonio TX, Columbus OH, Charlotte NC), Zone B (e.g., Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA, Houston TX), and Zone C (e.g., Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA, Washington, D.C., Boston MA). At this time, we are not budgeting for hires in higher-cost Zone D markets (e.g., San Francisco Bay Area CA, New York City NY, San Jose CA) for this role. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location, skills, experience, and internal equity. We use structured pay bands and geographic zones based on cost of labor to keep pay fair and consistent.
