  • Build a scalable target operating model across people, process, systems, and global footprint.
  • Define and track clear KPIs (close efficiency, control health, audit quality, DSO/DPO, automation impact).

Provide Technical Accounting Leadership

  • Serve as executive subject matter expert on complex accounting topics including revenue recognition, commissions, equity, payroll, intercompany, FX, treasury, and policy interpretation.
  • Shape accounting treatment early in deal design, commission structures, pricing decisions, and global entity strategy.
  • Translate accounting requirements into practical business solutions that balance growth, margin, and risk.

Build and Develop a High-Performing Organization

  • Hire, develop, and retain strong leaders and individual contributors.
  • Create clear ownership, accountability, and succession depth.
  • Lead organizational scaling and capability building across distributed teams.
  • Partner with People and Talent Acquisition to define career path frameworks and leadership development plans.

Design Systems and Controls That Scale

  • Drive automation across accounting workflows in partnership with internal automation teams.
  • Leverage ERP and financial systems to reduce manual effort and increase insight.
  • Own the multi-year systems roadmap (ERP, close, revenue, tax, treasury).
  • Mature the control environment toward SOX readiness, including documentation of key risks and controls.

Act as Enterprise Finance Partner

  • Partner closely with FP&A on long-range planning and scenario modeling.

Collaborate with Legal, RevOps, GTM, Product, and G&A leaders on accounting-impacting decisions.

  • Support major events including financing rounds, M&A, or IPO readiness workstreams.

Manage External Relationships

  • Lead auditors, tax advisors, payroll providers, and key external partners.
  • Establish performance standards aligned to cost, quality, and risk objectives.

  • Experience building leadership bench strength and succession planning.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

  • Strong technical accounting judgment across revenue, equity, commissions, payroll, and intercompany structures.
  • Experience in IFRS environments; exposure to U.S. GAAP or public-company reporting environments is a plus.
  • Experience in global payroll and multi-jurisdiction operations.

SYSTEMS & MODERN FINANCE CAPABILITIES

  • Strong systems orientation; NetSuite experience preferred.
