Job Description

Are you a detail-driven credit risk analyst with 3–4 years in project finance at a major bank — ready to take on complex renewable and infrastructure portfolios?

This is your opportunity to join a global bank’s NYC-based Project Finance Risk team, performing deep-dive analytics (no marketing, originations, or client-facing responsibilities) on high-quality transactions brought in by the front office.

VP, Sr. Credit Analyst, Project Finance (Risk) – NYC (Hybrid 2 days/week)

Why This Role

Join a lean, high-performing risk group that underwrites and monitors some of the most interesting renewable energy, conventional energy, and infrastructure projects in the market. You’ll be doing pure credit work — independent analysis, portfolio monitoring, and risk assessment — with direct exposure to senior risk leadership and a stable, long-tenured team culture.

Enjoy competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a hybrid schedule — all within a lean, collaborative team that offers real ownership and visibility to senior leadership.

What’s Offered

  • $200-225k base + bonus
  • Hybrid: Only 2-3 days/week in Midtown NYC
  • Exposure to complex bilateral and syndicated PF transactions
  • A long-term role in a growing North America platform

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare independent credit analyses for new PF transactions and amendments (no origination)
  • Review financial models, technical consultant reports, and deal documentation
  • Draft credit memos, process renewals, and manage all documentation for approvals
  • Monitor borrower performance and prepare regular portfolio risk reports
  • Track industry developments and contribute to portfolio/industry reporting initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years in credit risk analysis for project finance at a major bank (bilateral/syndicated deals)
  • Direct experience with renewables, conventional energy, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong financial modeling, risk analysis, and credit writing skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/finance/accounting/economics; MBA/CFA and formal credit training preferred
  • Bonus: German or Spanish language skills

Note: This is a risk-side, credit-focused role — no marketing, originations, or client relationship responsibilities.
