Nuveen is seeking a driven self-starter who enjoys problem solving and leading in a fast-paced environment. The position will lead the strategic development and enhancement of our data infrastructure, driving alignment between finance and asset management technology teams to optimize data flow, accuracy, and accessibility across the organization. Additionally, this role will lead strategic initiatives partnering with the business and finance leadership.
This role requires close collaboration with finance leadership and coordination across the business. A successful candidate will have quantitative skillset, ability to solve complex challenges, and maturity to navigate senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Lead and execute strategic financial analyses and initiatives partnering with business and finance leaders.
- Develop and execute initiatives to improve data quality, infrastructure, planning and management reporting capabilities by partnering with finance, accounting, and technology teams to strengthen processes and tools.
- Lead initiatives to enhance data infrastructure, including evaluation and implementation of new technologies, and process automation to reduce manual data creation and eliminate duplicative reporting.
- Develop advanced analytics capabilities and dashboards that transform raw AUM and financial data into actionable insights for investment teams, client services, and senior leadership decision making.
- Design and implement efficient data processes that support real-time reporting, regulatory requirements, and client deliverables while maintaining the highest standards of data accuracy and integrity.
- Present data strategy recommendations and progress updates to leadership, including executive-level presentations on data initiatives, system enhancements, and organizational impact.
- Manage and develop, either directly or indirectly, data analysts providing regular feedback and mentoring to ensure delivery of exceptional products while fostering engagement and professional growth.
- Monitors results for alignment with business objectives and plans. Presents recommendations to senior leadership regarding operational decisions and strategic initiatives.

Required Experience:
- 5+ years of financial planning and analysis or corporate finance experience
Preferred Experience:
- 7+ years of financial planning and analysis or corporate finance experience
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science or Economics; an MBA, CFA, CPA or other advanced degree is preferred
- 6+ years of business management, data analytics or business intelligence with a preference for AUM reporting experience
- Strength in problem solving across disciplines and leading complex projects and building rapport with stakeholders
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at senior levels
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Natural curiosity and systematic approach to identifying root causes of data issues and developing innovative solutions that enhance organizational efficiency
- Ability to wear multiple hats, acting as a financial reporting and analysis guru, internal consultant, and business strategist

Base Pay Range: $113,000/yr - $158,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
