Job Description

About Impact Investment Exchange (IIX)

IIX (Impact Investment Exchange) is a Singapore-headquartered pioneer in impact investing, connecting capital markets with sustainable development. For over a decade, IIX has been building the infrastructure for impact — structuring innovative financial instruments, running donor-funded development programs, and developing digital platforms that serve impact investors, enterprises, and communities across Asia and beyond.

Our work spans impact-linked securities, blended finance, gender-lens investing, and climate finance — always with the goal of mobilizing private capital for social and environmental good. We are a lean, mission-obsessed team. Everyone here wears multiple hats, moves fast, and cares deeply about the work. If that energizes you, you’ll thrive at IIX.

About the role

The VP, Investor Relations exists to ensure IIX’s investors are consistently well-served across the full lifecycle of their engagement, from onboarding through ongoing reporting and relationship management. This role carries a dual mandate: actively managing investor relations across IIX’s five live Women’s Livelihood Bond series, while simultaneously building the investor relations framework for the proposed Orange Climate Fund as it moves toward first close. Success means investors receive accurate, timely reporting; relationships are proactively maintained; and the new fund’s IR infrastructure is ready to support a global LP base from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

Investor Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary relationship contact for IIX’s existing WLB bondholders and future proposed Orange Climate Fund investors, maintaining proactive and professional communication across the life of each instrument
  • Build and maintain the investors’ relationship register: track investor preferences, reporting requirements, key contacts, communication cadences, and relationship history
  • Respond to investor queries, due diligence requests, and annual review requests with accuracy and timeliness; liaise with legal, finance, and the investment team as needed
  • For the proposed Orange Climate Fund, develop investor onboarding protocols and relationship management processes from pre-first close onward, ensuring each incoming LP is well-served from commitment through deployment
  • Identify and surface re-up interest, co-investment appetite, and relationship risks within the existing investor base to the Senior Director, Sustainable Finance and other fundraising leadership

Investor Reporting & Communications

  • Coordinate and produce periodic investor reports across all active IIX programs: financial performance summaries, portfolio updates, impact metrics, ESG data, and use-of-proceeds reporting
  • For the new fund, design and implement the investor reporting framework from the ground up — including capital account communications, NAV update formats, and impact dashboards — in close collaboration with finance and the investment team
  • Translate financial data and impact outcomes into clear, compelling investor communications that synthesize gender equity metrics, climate outcomes, and SDG alignment for a technically diverse investor audience
  • Maintain the investors’ data room: ensure accuracy and completeness of all investor-facing documents, including capital account statements, impact reports, audit documentation, and regulatory disclosures
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, and the investment team to ensure all investor communications and reports meet regulatory and fiduciary standards across relevant jurisdictions

Fundraising Engagement

  • Actively engage prospective investors during the new fund’s pre-close and first close process, working closely with the Senior Director, Sustainable Finance and senior leadership to build and convert the LP pipeline
  • Assist in the preparation and ongoing refinement of investor-facing materials: Q&A documents, DDQ responses, data room organisation, and investor presentations
  • Coordinate due diligence processes for prospective investors, ensuring a smooth and professional experience across all touchpoints from initial inquiry through commitment
  • Maintain accurate investor pipeline records and communication logs to support reporting to senior leadership on pipeline status and conversion

Sustainability & Impact Positioning

  • Develop deep fluency in IIX’s Orange Seal, Green-Orange Bond framework, gender-lens investment thesis, and climate impact measurement approach, and apply this consistently across all investor communications
  • Monitor evolving investor expectations around sustainable finance reporting standards and advise on implications for IIX’s reporting obligations and investor communications
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of impact reporting standards and templates to meet the expectations of DFI, foundation, and institutional investor audiences
  • Represent IIX at targeted investor events and sector forums as appropriate, contributing
