Job Title WordPress Developer

Location Remote

Time Zone US Time Zones (EST–CST overlap required)

Role Overview We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to manage and maintain a large portfolio of client websites on a day-to-day basis. This is a full-time role requiring hands-on development experience—not just page builder familiarity. You will own a ticket-based workflow, implement changes with precision, and uphold a high standard of quality across every site you touch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume ticketed inbox of website requests including content updates, layout changes, landing pages, and minor feature additions
  • Implement WordPress changes including theme and template adjustments, custom CSS/HTML edits, and basic-to-intermediate PHP and JavaScript modifications
  • Perform thorough quality control on every change: test across devices and browsers, verify links, forms, menus, and interactive elements
  • Draft clear, professional client-facing summaries of completed work for internal review prior to delivery
  • Collaborate with internal developers and account managers to clarify requirements and resolve edge cases
  • Proactively flag technical risks, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve or standardize templates and processes
  • Maintain clean, secure, and well-organized code and site structure across the portfolio

Required Qualifications

  • Professional WordPress development experience with strong knowledge of themes, child themes, plugins, and custom post types
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and basic-to-intermediate PHP and JavaScript
  • Experience with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, Gutenberg) plus the ability to go beyond them when needed
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple client sites or a portfolio of WordPress properties
  • Strong attention to detail with a consistent habit of self-QA before handoff
  • Clear, professional written and spoken English
  • Must have prior remote work experience, be fluent with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar), and have ideally worked with US or UK-based companies. Applications without this experience will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience at a marketing or digital agency
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices in WordPress
  • Experience with performance optimization (caching, image optimization, etc.)
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems

Tools & Technology

  • WordPress (themes, child themes, plugins, custom post types)
  • HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JavaScript
  • Page builders: Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, Gutenberg
  • Google Workspace
  • Slack, Zoom, and other remote collaboration tools
  • Ticketing / project management systems

Please NOTE It is crucial that you complete the application form in full. As part of the application process, you will be required to record a video. If your application is successful, you will receive an email confirming next steps—the video is the first step of the interview process. If you do not record a video, we will not be able to consider you for ANY open roles.

We connect top talent with vetted employers, competitive pay, and real growth opportunities.
