About the role

About Galvanize

Galvanize is a global asset manager investing at the intersection of energy innovation, resilience, and intelligence. The firm deploys capital across seed, venture, growth, public equities, credit, and real estate, combining investment expertise with deep in-house capabilities in technology, policy, and markets. Galvanize is structured to rapidly identify and execute on investment opportunities created by the energy transition, across all sectors of the economy

Role

GGE leverages its deep understanding of the Energy Transition to invest in ~30 companies we believe are servicing the path to Net Zero to generate compelling financial returns. The breadth of this opportunity allows us to be purposeful in building a long-only portfolio diversified across risk factors and geographies where we aim to hold companies for 3-5yrs.

We segment the universe into:

FRANCHISES - typically scaled, market-leaders offering sustainably high returns on capital, strong alignment to the Transition in capital allocation, and accelerating top line growth in these Transition-related activities.

IMPROVERS - typically companies with an important role to play in the Transition that are early in their journey of adoption, where business models are ‘improved’ either by specific revenue opportunities or an advantaged cost position versus peers through a focus on the profit pools create by the Transition.

ENABLERS - typically companies delivering and enabling the Transition by allocating their capital towards services/products specifically intended to deliver the Transition.

The Analyst will report to one of the Portfolio Managers, who also leads engagement and will work closely with other members of the Global Equities team and Galvanize’s broader investment, science, technology, and impact teams. This role is based in London and follows Galvanize’s hybrid working mode where the team is in office Monday – Thursday and remote on Fridays.
