Terms of Service
Last updated: July 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of www.serendipath.com and related services (the "Service") operated by Serendipath ("Serendipath", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
Serendipath analyzes your resume, recommends career paths, matches you to job openings aggregated from public sources, generates application documents, and — only with your explicit approval — completes and submits job applications on your behalf and tracks the outcome.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- The information you provide — above all your resume and application profile — must be truthful and yours. The Service builds application materials from what you provide; submitting false information to employers is your responsibility and may violate law.
3. Your content and our license
You retain ownership of the resumes and other content you upload. You grant us a limited license to store, process, analyze, and transform that content (including creating structured profiles, embeddings, and generated documents) solely to operate and improve the Service for you. Generated documents based on your career history are yours to use.
4. Auto-apply authorization
When you approve a job application in the Service (individually or through a batch approval you configure), you expressly authorize Serendipath to act on your behalf to complete and submit that application to the employer through its application system, using the materials and answers you have reviewed. This authorization is limited to the specific applications you approve; you may stop approving at any time.
- Review before submission. You are responsible for reviewing application materials and answers before approving. What is submitted after your approval is deemed submitted by you.
- Third-party systems. Applications are submitted through employers' and their vendors' systems, whose own terms apply. We are not responsible for how employers handle your application after submission.
- Best effort, not guaranteed. Application systems change, impose verification steps, or fail. We record evidence of successful submissions; where a submission cannot be completed, the corresponding quota is not consumed.
- No employment guarantee. Serendipath is not an employer, recruiter, or employment agency and does not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment.
5. AI-generated content
The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze resumes and draft application materials. Generated content is grounded in the career history you provide, but AI output can contain errors. You must review AI-generated documents and answers before approving their use in an application. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of everything submitted to an employer under Section 4.
6. Job listings
Job listings are aggregated from publicly available sources and employer application systems. We work to keep listings current and remove closed roles, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or continued availability of any listing. Employer names and trademarks belong to their owners; their appearance does not imply affiliation with or endorsement of Serendipath.
7. Subscriptions, quotas, and billing
- Paid plans are billed as recurring subscriptions through PayPal and may include a quota of auto-apply submissions per billing period. Additional submission quota may be offered as separate purchases.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account or via PayPal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access (and any remaining included quota) until then.
- Unused included quota does not roll over unless the plan says otherwise. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.
- We may change prices prospectively with reasonable advance notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading, or unlawful information to employers through the Service;
- upload content you do not have the right to use, or malicious code;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-export Service data, or use automated means to access the Service outside its intended interfaces;
- probe, disrupt, overload, or circumvent security or quota mechanisms;
- resell or provide the Service to third parties as your own offering without our written consent.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Intellectual property
The Service — including its software, matching engine, design, and content other than your content — is owned by Serendipath or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no rights in the Service other than the limited right to use it as intended.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. MATCH SCORES AND AI ANALYSES ARE INFORMATIONAL AIDS, NOT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE OR PREDICTIONS OF HIRING OUTCOMES.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SERENDIPATH WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, OPPORTUNITIES, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.
12. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold Serendipath harmless from claims arising out of content you provide, applications submitted with your approval, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access for breach of these Terms, legal requirement, or discontinuation of the Service, with notice where practicable. Sections 3, 5, and 9–14 survive termination.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Serendipath is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction there, after a good-faith attempt to resolve the matter informally through support@serendipath.com.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site with reasonable notice; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
