About the role

UNLEASH AI INNOVATORS, SECURELY

Software is being rewritten in real time. AI agents are starting to write more code than humans do, at a speed no security team has ever had to match, and that single shift is opening up the biggest opportunity our industry has seen in a decade. We're not bracing for it, we're building the company that owns it.

Snyk is building the next generation security platform where security isn't a set of tools people operate. It's a team of security agents working alongside your engineers, finding, fixing, and governing risk at the speed software is now built. These agents work alongside both the company build and the agents they adopt. Security stops being a queue of work waiting for people, and becomes a coordinated workforce companies direct and trust.

JOB SUMMARY

Snyk is investing in creating a best in class Analyst Relations function, and we're looking for an Analyst Relations Director to lead it — a role with a direct line of sight to the CEO and executive leadership team. You'll own how Snyk shows up to the analyst community (Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and beyond), and be the person who translates what's happening across our market categories and the vendor landscape into a point of view that executive leadership actually uses to make decisions about where Snyk plays and how we win.

This is more than running briefings. Security is in the middle of a category shift — AI-native, agentic development is redrawing how the market defines "secure," and the analyst community is one of the most influential forces shaping that redefinition. The credibility and influence you build with analysts directly shapes how the market, prospects, and customers see Snyk's position in that shift.

You'll report to the VP of Product Marketing, with regular visibility to the CEO and executive leadership team, and you'll partner closely with Product Marketing, Product Management, Strategy, Global Communications, Sales, and our AI Engineering & Transformation team. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports today — you'll personally own and run the program, using AI and agentic tooling to scale the research-heavy parts of the work, so your time goes to the relationships and strategic judgment that can't be automated.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Owning and executing Snyk's overall analyst relations strategy — the relationships, the cadence, and the narrative
  • Building and personally managing high-trust relationships with the analysts who matter most to Snyk's category, at firms including Gartner, Forrester, and IDC
  • Developing deep fluency in how our market categories are evolving and in the vendor landscape competing for the same mindshare — not to build competitive collateral, but to bring a sharp, credible point of view into every analyst conversation
  • Running the full analyst engagement motion: briefings, inquiries, advisory days, conference participation, and research report submissions (Magic Quadrant, Wave, MarketScape, and similar)
  • Presenting Snyk's market position and perspective directly to executive leadership and the CEO — where we're positioned well, where we're exposed, and what's shifting in how the market and analyst community define the categories we compete in
  • Negotiating and managing analyst firm contracts, ensuring Snyk gets full value from every engagement
  • Supporting the Gartner Peer Insights customer review program
  • Partnering with our AI Engineering & Transformation team to build agentic tooling that automates the research-heavy parts of the job — tracking analyst publications, monitoring category and vendor movement, and synthesizing first-pass insights — freeing your time for relationships and strategic judgment
  • Triaging internal requests for analyst interactions, research, and event support, and making sure analyst intelligence actually gets used — feeding back into roadmap, messaging, and go-to-market decisions

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • You have experience running or playing a lead role in an analyst relations program, ideally with firms like Gartner, Forrester, or IDC
  • You have a track record participating in and influencing Magic Quadrant, Wave, or MarketScape outcomes
  • You think in terms of market categories and vendor landscapes, not just individual competitors, and can turn that thinking into a compelling narrative
  • You're comfortable being the sole owner of a strategic program early on, and energized by rebuilding it with modern tools rather than inheriting someone else's playbook
  • You have executive presence — you can walk into a room with the CEO or exec staff and hold your own on where the market is headed
  • You're genuinely curious about using AI and agentic tooling to change how intelligence work gets done, and you know where automation helps versus where relationships and judgment can't be replaced
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and can flex between analyst-facing polish and executive-level synthesis
  • You take complete ownership of the programs you run and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • You're excited about our mission to help unleash AI Innovators – securely
  • Bonus: experience at a security or DevOps company, or with security products
  • Bonus: experience building analyst credibility inside a category that was actively being redefined by a major technology shift
