Overview

We are looking for a proactive Art Director to join our Glossier Creative team on a freelance/contract basis. The role will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to concept, design, and produce compelling content across multiple channels and platforms -- with a focus on our paid, digital performance channels. We are looking for a self-motivated, and inspirational candidate with solid visual and motion design capabilities and understanding of online marketing media channels and the social/digital content space. The ideal candidate is willing to work full-time and on-site from our office 3 days a week.

Our in-house Creative team is responsible for a range of content -- from Glossier’s brand voice and messaging, retail/experiential production, to product and packaging design for each of our products. The role will report into the Senior Art Director.

Responsibilities

Establish art direction for our paid social and digital channels, ensure direction is retained throughout the whole production process

Direct and oversee weekly, turn-key photo/video shoots

Execute all aspects of the creative vision for the project including concepts and design, both as a whole and how it pertains to their own portion of the work

Work closely with our Talent team to cast talent for our shoots

Work closely with the Creative Operations/Production team to source new freelance and vendor talent (photographers, make-up artists, etc.)

Shoot plan and shot list creation, manage and develop briefs for shoot creative services

Post-production selects, retouching/editing notes and all else involved to bring creative direction to life

Research new ideas and channels, stay on top of new channels and digital social trends

Partner closely with Creative Strategy, Growth Marketing, Brand Marketing, and Social teams to develop performance-driven creative concepts that balance brand storytelling with business objectives

Translate campaign briefs into scalable creative systems across paid social, organic social, digital, email, and ecommerce touchpoints

Concept and design motion-first creative optimized for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Meta, Pinterest, and emerging channels

The estimated annual pay range for this role is $39.00 - $50.00 per hour 

There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.
