About the Role

Rho is seeking an Associate Compliance Officer to support our onboarding compliance team. You'll own day-to-day customer due diligence (CDD) and Know Your Business (KYB) work for new client onboarding — gathering and verifying documentation, running risk assessments against established frameworks, and escalating issues to senior compliance staff. You'll play a vital part in keeping Rho compliant with BSA/AML, OFAC, and FinCEN requirements while maintaining the application review velocity our customers expect. This full-time, onsite role is a strong fit for someone looking to build a career in banking or fintech compliance within a growing, mission-driven company.

What You'll Do

  • Support the CDD and KYC/KYB processes for new client onboarding by gathering and organizing required documentation in accordance with BSA/AML, OFAC, and FinCEN requirements
  • Collect and verify client documentation, including business formation documents, ownership structures, and beneficial ownership information, escalating discrepancies to senior team members
  • Assist in performing risk assessments on potential clients using established frameworks and checklists
  • Flag and escalate suspicious activity or potential compliance issues identified during onboarding to senior compliance staff
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including sales and operations, to collect outstanding client information and ensure timely onboarding
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of client onboarding files, compliance decisions, and supporting documentation in accordance with team standards
  • Support periodic reviews of existing client accounts by gathering and organizing documentation for senior team review
  • Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and data pulls as directed by management
  • Support updates to policies and procedures by documenting process changes and maintaining version-controlled records
  • Utilize compliance technology platforms to process onboarding tasks, input data, and maintain system accuracy
  • Follow established onboarding compliance policies and procedures, providing feedback to senior staff on potential process improvements
  • Participate in compliance training sessions and apply best practices to daily onboarding tasks, developing foundational knowledge of fintech and banking regulation through ongoing training and self-study
  • Take on other activities as determined by your supervisor

You Have

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in compliance, finance, banking, or a related operations role
  • Working understanding of BSA/AML, OFAC, and FinCEN requirements, including CDD and KYB concepts
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organization, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to manage a queue independently, prioritize across competing deadlines, and meet required service levels
  • Comfort working in compliance technology platforms and learning new systems quickly
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to know when to escalate

Compensation & Schedule

  • Full-time, salaried position with benefits
  • Onsite work environment
  • Standard weekday schedule; occasional flexibility may be needed to meet onboarding volume
  • Opportunity for growth into senior compliance roles based on performance and business needs
