Spring Health is seeking an Associate Director, Business Operations & Strategy to join our Specialty Care team. This team is responsible for building and scaling new programs to support our highest-acuity members. Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategy & Operations, Specialty Care, this role acts as a senior strategic and operational leader, partnering closely with Clinical, Product, Analytics and Marketing to drive execution and growth. This is a full time position that is fully remote. Travel to our NYC headquarters may be required quarterly.

What you’ll do: 

Master Specialty Care's P&L mechanics and financial drivers, identifying key levers to drive sustainable growth, revenue optimization, and gross margin expansion.

Act as the primary financial and operational partner for department leadership, translating unit economics and margin drivers into actionable, high-impact strategies.

Lead cross-functional alignment across Product, Clinical, Marketing, and Operations to set strategic roadmaps, prioritize high-impact initiatives, and drive end-to-end execution.

Directly manage specific clinical operations functions alongside core strategy and ops, ensuring seamless alignment and strong operational partnership with clinical leadership.

Build AI natively into operational and clinical workflows to improve system efficiencies, elevate quality standards, and accelerate strategic scenario modeling.

Build and own long-term capacity and workforce planning models to ensure clinical and operational teams are proactively resourced ahead of program growth.

Define, track, and maintain key operational metrics across Specialty Care to drive organizational alignment, transparency, and accountability.

Partner with clinical leaders to establish quality program frameworks, execution cadences, and operational standards.

Directly manage, coach, and develop operations team members—creating clarity on priorities, removing obstacles, and supporting ongoing career growth.

What you’ll bring: 

8+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, or corporate consulting, including 3+ years in a scaling or high-growth startup environment.

Mastery of P&L management, gross margin drivers, and unit economics, with a proven track record of translating financial mechanics into operational execution.

Demonstrated experience directly managing or deeply partnering with clinical operations functions to build and scale care execution roadmaps.

Proven track record of cross-functional leadership, bringing together Product, Clinical, Marketing, and Operations to set priorities and drive accountability.

Practical experience integrating AI and modern analytical tools natively into business workflows to improve speed, quality, and organizational leverage.

Proven experience building workforce planning, staffing, or capacity models to support scaling operational teams.

Strong analytical mindset with high comfort navigating raw data to uncover root causes and inform strategic tradeoffs.

Demonstrated track record of people management—coaching team members, building trust, and setting clear performance expectations.

High comfort navigating ambiguity, making decisions with imperfect information, and maintaining momentum under pressure.

Clear, concise written and executive communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex operational topics for diverse stakeholders.

The target base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $184,000 and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
