About the role

About Rivet

Rivet is an American company building integrated task systems — fusing hardened hardware with software, sensors, AI, and networking — for industrial workforces and defense personnel. We create capabilities that multiply the effectiveness of every individual and withstand the world’s toughest environments.

We serve the people who build, operate, maintain, and defend our way of life. From technicians and engineers to first responders and service members, they embody the hard work, ingenuity, and meritocratic values that drive Western prosperity. Yet too often they are forced to rely on outdated tools that fail under modern pressures. Rivet exists to reset that priority.

At Rivet, you’ll join a mission-driven team that fuses disciplines to deliver decisive outcomes where they matter most. Whether shaping our technology, strengthening our partnerships, or building our culture, every role here contributes to equipping the front lines with the modern systems they deserve.

Work Authorization Requirement: Due to the nature of our business and compliance with federal regulations, all candidates must be a "U.S. Person". Upon hire, you will be required to provide documentation verifying your status as a U.S. Citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Summary

We're looking for a Brand & Content Producer to shape how Rivet shows up visually, everywhere. You'll be our visual storyteller, shooting the photos and video and creating the content and brand assets that show what Rivet builds and the frontline workers we support: technicians on a tarmac, maintainers in a depot, soldiers in the field.

Rivet speaks to Army leaders, defense professionals, policymakers, industrial customers, partners, investors, and future hires. You'll keep the brand consistent across all of them while adapting the story to each one.

This is a hands-on, high-output role on a small Marketing & Communications team, reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager. You'll own content from shoot to publish and be a core member of the team, supporting everything from social media, events, and the website to press and partner announcements, merch design, and internal comms. If you're a strong videographer, photographer, and editor who can turn complex technology into images and stories anyone understands, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Rivet’s lead photographer and videographer, capturing our systems and the people who use them, including in the field and on the factory floor.
  • Produce a steady stream of original content, from brand films and product demos to operator stories and event recaps, for social, web, sales and recruiting.
  • Own shoots end to end, from concept and shot list through lighting, audio, directing non-professional talent and final edit.
  • Work with engineering, deployment and customer teams to find the stories worth telling.
  • Build and maintain Rivet's library of original photography and b-roll.
  • Support Rivet's social presence on LinkedIn, Instagram and X, writing copy in Rivet's voice and managing sign-off with government, customer and partner stakeholders.
  • Create branded assets, including one-pagers, slides, collateral, merch and website visuals.
  • Cover major conferences such as AUSA and SOF Week with on-site photo and video, and contribute to booth design.
  • Manage outside designers, printers and vendors to deliver on time and on budget.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years producing photo and video content for brand, marketing, social or editorial work, whether in-house, at an agency or freelance.
  • A reel or portfolio of work you personally shot and edited.
  • Advanced video editing in Premiere Pro or a similar tool, including color correction and audio.
  • Strong photography and cinematography skills, including lighting and audio capture in uncontrolled environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn technical subjects into clear, compelling human stories.
  • Working design skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma or Canva.
  • A desire to be behind the camera creating and shipping, not just directing others or outsourcing production.
  • Ability to operate independently, own projects from concept to execution and manage several deadlines at once.
  • Comfortable working on site and at events, and willing to travel up to ~20% for shoots and conferences.
  • Must be a U.S. Person.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, industrial, hardware, or deep-tech companies.
  • Motion graphics or animation skills (After Effects or similar).
  • Familiarity with website CMS builders such as Turnstile, Webflow or WordPress.
  • Experience with event marketing or live social coverage at conferences.
  • Experience with social scheduling and analytics tools.
  • Military service, or experience with the people and frontline work Rivet serves.

How to Apply

Include a link to your portfolio or reel with your application. Applications without work samples will not be considered.

Compensation may vary within the posted range based on relevant experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for equity and other forms of compensation. Eligible employees also receive a competitive benefits package, including unlimited PTO.

Rivet is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to any characteristic protected by applicable law. Certain roles may require U.S. Person status, security clearance eligibility, or other requirements imposed by law or government contract.
