The Team

The Business Development team is the backbone of Deliveroo, tasked with signing up the best restaurants in the UAE to work with us. As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for signing up and helping to onboard the city’s best restaurants and chains.

You'll be reporting to the Team Lead of your respective city.

What You’ll Be Doing

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Restaurant acquisition: You'll be prospecting, pitching, and closing new restaurants in your territory. This is mostly an inside (telesales) sales opportunity.
  • Oversee your pipeline: Take control of your own pipeline and use your organisational skills to manage your portfolio of leads and ensure strong conversion rates.
  • Oversee the partner onboarding process to ensure it is as quick, efficient, and seamless as possible
  • Ensure partner success within the first weeks from signing
  • Commercial Projects: Assist our wider commercial team with ad-hoc projects like field pitch days, restaurant marketing roll-outs, and cross-functional projects.

KPIs

  • Number of partners signed each month from the target list
  • Performance of partners signed (first 3 months)

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • BSc/BA in business or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
  • Knowledge of the restaurant landscape in the UAE
  • Demonstrable sales track record with experience in prospecting, pitching, and closing deals
  • Experienced negotiator and able to structure win-win deals for partners and for Deliveroo
  • Commercially knowledgeable person who understands the economics of delivery - for restaurant partners and Deliveroo
  • Be able to maturely demonstrate product and industry knowledge to clients
  • Take ownership and work towards demanding targets
  • A fantastic communicator with a "get it done" mindset, well organised and efficient
  • Fluency in English; Hindi or Arabic is a plus
