About the role

Original posting from Lithic via Greenhouse

Lithic is the modern card issuing and processing platform empowering ambitious financial companies to build the future of payments.

Our infrastructure powers card programs for 100+ innovative clients, from fintechs reimagining credit and digital banking to platforms transforming disbursements and spend management. Companies like Mercury, Flex, and Novo rely on Lithic's developer-friendly APIs, direct network connections, and flawless reconciliation to launch and scale card programs in weeks, not years.

We're building a future where access to better financial products materially improves people's lives, free from the constraints of 30-year-old mainframes and legacy processors. We're proud to be backed by world-class investors who share that vision, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Index Ventures, Spark Capital, Stripes, and Mastercard, along with many others.

We're a team of 170+ across 26 states and 7 countries, headquartered in New York City.

Lithic is hiring for Business Operations, Program Management: a generalist role dedicated to the Program Management (PM) business line, where Lithic owns the bank relationship, handles compliance, and runs the client's card program end to end. We're expanding Program Management this year, and this person will build and run how it operates day to day, meaning the processes, reporting, and coordination across teams that today happen informally. This is a chance to build real depth in how sponsor bank partnerships and card programs work, in payments and fintech more broadly, while working directly with the Head of Program Management.

Job responsibilities:

Own how PM operates day to day, meaning the process, tooling, and reporting that let the business actually be run and measured

Take on cross-functional projects that touch Risk, Compliance, Bank Operations, Legal, Sales, and Product, and see them through to a result, not just a status update

Assist in building and launching new PM initiatives from concept to completion, whether that's a new bank partnership, a new product construct, or a new managed-service offering

Build the reporting PM needs and doesn't currently have

Turn ad hoc process into something documented and repeatable, and find the parts worth automating

Be the person other teams come to with PM operational questions

Qualifications:

4+ years in consulting, banking, fintech, or business operations

A generalist who's comfortable owning ambiguous, cross-functional work without a playbook to follow

Experience building processes from scratch and achieved results through strong stakeholder partnership rather than mandate

Strong analytically; can stand up metrics and reporting from nothing

Experience running cross-functional projects involving both internal teams and outside parties

Payments or fintech operations background (sponsored bank programs, BaaS, issuer processing) is a plus, not required

Experience or strong interest in utilizing AI automation tooling to improve workflows

The annual U.S. salary range for this role is $75,000 - $100,000 plus equity. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Lithic and will be narrowed during the interview process based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to our NYC office in Soho. We do not offer visa sponsorship or assistance.
