About the role

Original posting from Epidemic Sound via Ashby

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Stockholm, Epidemic Group is a global creative platform on a mission to reimagine storytelling through music, sound, video, and AI. The group comprises Epidemic Sound, the world's leading soundtracking platform; Soundly, its sound effects platform; Overtone Studios, the group's mood and functional music label; Plenty Labs, an AI-native creative platform for enterprises and creative professionals teams; and Blenda Labs, a next generation video entertainment company. The group is backed by EQT, Blackstone, Creandum, Atwater Capital, Alecta, AMF, and IMAS Foundation.

Why this role

For twelve months you will work next to the CEO of Epidemic Group, from the discussion where a decision is made to the follow-up that makes it happen. You will prepare material for the leadership team and the board, keep strategic initiatives moving across the Group, and take on projects of your own over time. Very few people get this view this early, and fewer get the trust that comes with it.

What you will do

  • Prepare briefings, analysis and follow-ups for the CEO, the leadership team and the board, and structure decision material on strategic, operational and commercial questions.
  • Work directly with leaders across the Group’s businesses to track strategic initiatives, coordinate priorities and keep things moving.
  • Take ownership of defined projects set by the CEO.

What you bring

  • A Master’s degree (or equivalent), completed or about to be completed, in business, economics, engineering or a related field.
  • A track record of leadership, for example through student organisations, case competitions or founding something of your own.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and an analytical mind. You are comfortable moving between big-picture strategy and the details, and you figure things out rather than wait to be told.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong social skills, and the judgement and discretion to handle confidential and commercially sensitive material.

The practicalities

One-year fixed-term traineeship, on-site at our Stockholm office, reporting directly to the CEO. Start date: as soon as possible.
