As a Claims Advocate, you’ll  manage a portfolio of new claims, utilizing your growing expertise to identify third-party negligence early in the process. Your role is to interpret policy language and analyze initial loss reports to ensure that liability is accurately assessed from day one. You’ll collaborate with adjusters and site experts to build a solid foundation for every claim, developing the investigative rigor needed to thrive in a fast-paced commercial environment.

What You’ll Do

Investigate and Assess Liability: Conduct thorough investigations to identify liable third parties and assess the liability and 

Claims: Initiate, document, and manage all aspects of general liability cases from identification through final resolution

Negotiate Settlements: negotiate and process denials per the policy. 

Evaluation: Establish the precise financial and legal merit of a loss

Collaborate with Our Claims Team:  Work alongside claims adjusters, legal partners, and vendors  to determine coverage and proper claim practices.

Documentation: Per our best practice claim handling and legal requirements. 

Policy Analysis and Compliance: Review and interpret policy language to align with company policies and relevant legal requirements

External Vendor Management: Engage and coordinate with outside vendors, specialists, attorneys, and investigators as needed.

What We Need

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial property and liability insurance policies, as well as knowledge of relevant state and federal subrogation laws. Knowledge of construction methods is beneficial

Communication and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively and negotiate with a range of stakeholders, including third-party insurers and legal representatives

Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented with a strong analytical approach to assessing claims and identifying coverage determination. 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred

Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in GL Claims, with a focus on commercial property claims handling or commercial general liability assessment within the insurance industry. We are seeking professionals with experience handling commercial claims, property claims, and/or general liability cases specifically

Licensure: Candidates must have, or be able to promptly obtain, any and all appropriate Independent Adjuster License(s)

 The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, without limitation, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. ERGO NEXT employees are also potentially eligible for our annual performance-based incentive program, in addition to our benefits package, consisting of our partially subsidized medical plan, fully subsidized vision/dental options, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k), flexible paid time off, parental leave and more.

US annual base salary range for this full-time position:$60,000—$80,000 USD
