ABOUT NOLLA HEALTH

Nolla is building AI-powered healthcare to make high-quality care accessible to everyone. Our medical skincare and prescription product, Nolla Derm, helps patients understand their skin and get treatment. We’re expanding into broader care, women’s health, and beyond. We’ve raised $6.5M from General Catalyst and other strategic investors.

We're looking for a clinician to build out our clinical operations team, scale our telehealth platform, and expand into new specialties.

THE ROLE

You’ll lead clinical operations at Nolla: caring for patients, building the systems behind that care, and helping other clinicians deliver it well as we grow.

This is a hands-on clinical role. You’ll conduct virtual visits, answer patient questions through asynchronous chat, and work in person with our founding team in New York City on clinical questions, care delivery, and product decisions.

Your initial focus will be dermatology and women’s health, including reproductive care. You’ll improve the clinical workflows behind our current products and help scope new specialties and care models as we expand.

You’ll be one of our founding clinical team members, so there’s a lot to build. You’ll help establish protocols, clinician onboarding, quality review, and escalation processes while continuing to practice. We expect roughly half your time to be patient care and half clinical operations.

This role requires an actively licensed nurse practitioner or physician assistant. We’re looking for someone with strong clinical judgment and an interest in building a telehealth practice from the ground up. Experience in women’s health, dermatology, or family medicine is especially relevant; Telehealth and digital health experience are pluses.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

CARE FOR PATIENTS

  • Conduct telehealth visits, assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, and provide follow-up care within your scope of practice.
  • Answer clinical questions through asynchronous patient chat with clear, thoughtful guidance.
  • Recognize when a patient needs specialist input, an in-person evaluation, or a different level of care.
  • Document care accurately and bring recurring patient questions and problems back to the team.

WORK WITH THE FOUNDING TEAM

  • Be a clinical thought partner on questions that come up as we deliver care and build new services.
  • Help scope new offerings, including what can be delivered safely and effectively through telehealth.
  • Partner with product and engineering to turn clinical needs into better patient and clinician workflows.
  • Review proposed workflows and AI-supported features for clinical usefulness, appropriate clinician involvement, and patient safety.

OWN THE CLINICAL OPERATION

  • Build practical workflows for intake, triage, visits, asynchronous messages, follow-up, referrals, and escalation.
  • Help establish clinical protocols, documentation standards, and quality review processes.
  • Work with the team on clinician coverage and the handoffs that keep patients from falling through the cracks.
  • Use care quality, access, response times, and patient feedback to identify what needs to improve.

LEAD AND SUPPORT CLINICIANS

  • Help hire, onboard, guide, and coordinate clinicians as the care team grows.
  • Be a resource for clinical questions and complex cases, with clear paths for escalation.
  • Review patterns in care and documentation, share useful feedback, and help clinicians deliver consistent, high-quality care.
  • Bring what clinicians are seeing in practice back to the founding and product teams.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Active licensure as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant and substantial experience providing direct patient care.
  • Experience in women’s health, reproductive care, or family medicine.
  • Strong clinical judgment and a commitment to accurate, evidence-based care.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and warmly with patients in both visits and written messages.
  • An interest in building clinical processes that other clinicians can use and improving them as you learn what works.
  • Comfort working directly with founders and across clinical, product, and engineering teams.
  • The initiative and follow-through to build in an early-stage startup where many processes are still taking shape.
  • Availability to work full-time, in person in New York City.

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience in dermatology or medical skincare.
  • Experience delivering telehealth care.
  • Experience on a clinical operations team or building and improving a care program.
  • Experience at a digital health company, healthcare startup, or consumer health product.
  • Experience hiring, onboarding, mentoring, or leading clinicians.
