Retail Content Manager

Fixed-term Maternity Cover

πŸ“ London (office-based) Β· Full-time Β· 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover)

Team description

SumUp's retail channel covers everything a shopper or retail partner sees before they choose SumUp: packaging, in-store displays, Amazon listings, retail landing pages, co-branded materials and event content. With major launches ahead, including Tap to Pay, new hardware and SumUp's first consumer proposition in retail, this role is the one place where messaging, production and sign off come together before anything goes live. It's a rare mix of strategy and craft: setting the retail narrative, then writing, briefing and quality checking the content that makes each launch land with the right audience, on time and on brand.

πŸŽ₯ Take a look inside our office: London

What you'll do

Own content strategy and delivery for priority launches, including Tap to Pay, new hardware and SumUp's first consumer proposition in retail

Build and maintain retail landing pages and content repositories, writing and updating copy as products, offers and priorities change

Shape a clear framework for how business and consumer messaging run alongside each other across the retail funnel, from awareness to conversion

Write and brief content for retail campaigns and events, including seasonal activity and in-store materials

Manage localisation workflows and quality checks so content stays accurate and compliant across markets

Keep the retail content plan up to date, with clear briefs, owners and delivery dates for every project

You'll be great for this role if

Proven, retail-sector experience in content management, content strategy or copywriting is essential, ideally built within consumer electronics, fintech B2B or payments, or FMCG environments.

Track record of delivering content across multiple formats and channels, including packaging, point-of-sale materials and online marketplaces, including optimizing copy for SEO and conversion.

Strong ability to turn complex product and commercial information into clear, engaging business and consumer facing copy.

Comfort managing multiple concurrent briefs, deadlines and review cycles with strong organisational discipline.

Confident cross-functional stakeholder management, including experience navigating co-branding requirements, with native-level written and spoken English.

Familiarity with Builder.io and content management systems, plus experience producing content for events and trade shows, is a plus but not essential.
