ABOUT US

QuantWare is building the world’s most powerful quantum processors to solve humanity's greatest challenges. We do this with our unique VIO™ technology, the only QPU architecture that breaks the hardware barriers that have held quantum computing back, unlocking the path to MegaQubit quantum processors.

With VIO, we are paving the way for the hyper-scale quantum computers that will change the world. And delivering on that vision demands people who don’t shy away from tackling the hardest challenges of our time. That’s where you come in!

We are seeking a Director of Applications to translate complex enterprise computational bottlenecks into quantified quantum business cases that drive hardware demand. In this role, you will lead, build, and scale the team responsible for demonstrating utility-scale quantum value to global enterprise partners. You will take ownership of our End-User Partnerships across target industries, leading a small senior team of Quantum Algorithm Experts, Applications Engineers, and Solutions Engineers, while serving as the executive interface to strategic and technical leadership at top-tier partner organizations.

What you’ll be doing

  • End-User Partnership Ownership: Own end-to-end execution and delivery of strategic, quantitative, quantum application discovery projects with enterprise partners.
  • Quantified Business Cases: Collaborate with partner teams to build and present robust business cases that quantify the ROI of quantum applications within their organizations.
  • Lead & Scale Application Teams: Recruit, manage, and lead a small team of Senior Quantum Algorithm Experts, Applications Engineers, and Solutions Engineers in developing quantum applications and resource estimation tools.
  • Executive Technical Relations: Build, maintain, and manage high-trust relationships with strategic and technical leadership at enterprise partner organizations.
  • Framework Development: Establish, mature, and scale repeatable frameworks for business case development, project execution, results reporting. Partner with technical leadership to develop frameworks for quantum application development, and computational resource estimation.
  • Cross-Functional Feedback Loop: Drive the feedback loop by translating enterprise application requirements and hardware performance targets back to our internal Product, Systems, and Business Development teams.

Your Profile

Business Case & Value Creation: Proven track record of building quantified business cases for complex technology adoption, ideally within compute-intensive domains (e.g. HPC, AI, advanced software). Prior experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or technology solution consulting practice is a strong plus.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience building, managing and developing high-performing technical teams in fast-moving, outcome-driven environments.
  • Executive Communication: Exceptional cross-functional communicator capable of bridging deep technical topics with high-level strategy and commercial audiences.
  • Education: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mathematics, or an MBA paired with a technical undergraduate degree.
  • Mindset: Strategic leader with high ownership and a strong outcome focus.
