Early Childhood Behavior Technician (Part-Time) – Tallmadge, OH

Location: Tallmadge, OH

Compensation: $17 – $22 per hour (based on experience and certification status)

Schedule: Monday–Friday 9:00am - 1:00pm, 20 hours per week

SparkJoy ABA, in partnership with Finni Health, is seeking high-energy, playful, and compassionate Behavior Technicians to provide ABA therapy to children with autism.

Your Role:

  • Be a Play Leader: Work 1:1 with children in their homes. You aren’t just "monitoring"—you are actively playing, moving, and engaging a child to help them meet their goals.
  • Teach Through Action: Use creative, high-movement methods to teach communication, social cues, and daily living skills.
  • Data & Collaboration: Collect progress data and collaborate with supervising BCBAs to ensure the child is thriving.
  • Support Families: Build trust with parents through consistent, upbeat communication and in-home support.

Work Environment: This role operates exclusively in the client's home environment. You must feel comfortable working inside client homes and visiting neighborhoods within the assigned X territory.

What You Bring:

  • The "Spark": You are naturally outgoing, energetic, and comfortable being high-energy to keep a child engaged and learning.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience working with children (daycare, camp counselor, teaching, coaching, or similar) is required.
  • Reliability: You must have reliable transportation to travel to client homes in the Tallmadge area.
  • Commitment to Growth: Passing RBT Certification within 90 days of hire is required (we will help you study and cover the cost!).
  • Training: Proof of completion of a 40-hour Behavior Technician training course is preferred but not required to interview.

Job Details:

  • Part-time: 20 hours/week
  • Pay: $17–$22/hr
