On-site

Who this role is best for

Aimed at mid-to-senior level embedded systems engineers who have experience with sensor synchronization and on-device compute.

Best fit for

  • Candidates with experience in sensor synchronization and firmware development for robotics hardware
    — “Develop firmware for multi-camera and HD-sEMG synchronisation on the NG hub”
  • Engineers with a background in edge computing and real-time systems
    — “Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or similar edge compute”

Things to consider

  • On-site presence in Prague is required, with no mention of remote flexibility
    — “This role is on-site with our engineering team in the Czech Republic”
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience is required for consideration
    — “3+ years of relevant professional experience”

How to stand out

  • Highlight your experience with sub-millisecond hardware timestamping in your firmware projects
    — “Implement sub-millisecond hardware timestamping across sensors”
  • Showcase your ability to work with ML teams on data integrity and formats
    — “Work closely with the ML team on data format and integrity”
  • Emphasize any prior work with biosignal analog front-ends or camera interfaces like MIPI/CSI
    — “Experience with cameras (MIPI/CSI), ADCs, or biosignal analog front-ends”
  • Demonstrate your hands-on hardware bring-up and debugging skills with concrete examples

ABOUT REVEL

REVEL is an AI robotics company developing physical intelligence for general-purpose humanoid robots. We capture the force, dexterity and intent of human work with our Neural Gambit wearable, and use it to train RAI, the intelligence that powers our robots. REVEL is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, with R&D and engineering facilities in Prague and Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. This role is on-site with our engineering team in the Czech Republic.

Neural Gambit only works if the capture is perfectly synchronised. We're looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to bring the NG hub and capture pipeline to life, sensors, sync, and on-device compute.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop firmware for multi-camera and HD-sEMG synchronisation on the NG hub
  • Implement sub-millisecond hardware timestamping across sensors
  • Build the on-device capture and offload pipeline
  • Bring up new boards and debug at the hardware level
  • Work closely with the ML team on data format and integrity

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong C/C++ on embedded Linux and/or microcontrollers
  • Experience with cameras (MIPI/CSI), ADCs, or biosignal analog front-ends
  • Comfort with scopes, logic analysers and hardware bring-up
  • Solid software engineering practices

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or similar edge compute
  • Real-time operating systems
  • Prior wearable or medical-device firmware

WHY REVEL

  • Work That Ships: We capture how skilled humans work, their force, touch, and judgment, and our robots do the work. You put robots on a paying customer's floor, not in a demo loop
  • The Team: Colleagues from NVIDIA, SpaceX, and Neura Robotics, and founders you work with directly. No layers, no process between you and the decisions
  • Your Own Hardware: A top-spec GPU workstation, cluster access, and hands-on time with the robots you're building. Not a software sandbox
  • Keep Learning: Conference budget for select roles (GTC, CoRL, ICRA), and room to publish and contribute to open source where our IP allows

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Unlimited Paid Time Off: Real flexibility to take time away when you need it. We trust our people to own their work, their time, and their results
  • Prague, On-Site: Robots need hands, so we work together in our Prague lab. Moving here? We sponsor your work visa and cover relocation
  • Lunch, On Us: Complimentary lunch every working day, plus coffee, snacks, and drinks whenever you need a boost

HOW TO APPLY

  • Apply through the link on this posting.
