About the role

Original posting from Goody via Ashby

OVERVIEW

Goody is opening our first physical space — a showroom and community space in downtown San Francisco — and we're looking for a contract Field Marketing & Events Coordinator to help us run it.

From September 2026 through the holidays, the showroom is our SF front door: an ongoing gifting suite where prospects and customers come to see Goody's products in person, a venue for a bi-weekly cadence of events, and a home base for our sales team when they're in town. That's a lot to run, and this role exists so it can actually happen.

You'll report to our Field Marketing Manager, who owns the events calendar and runs the events themselves — you'll be her right hand in executing them. She'll also be hosting sales meetings in the space, which means she needs real logistical support: someone who can keep the showroom running, handle the setup and coordination behind each event, and make sure the details are handled without needing to be chased. If you like being the person who makes the day go smoothly, this is that job.

You'll also collaborate with our sales, brand, and partnerships teams.

This is a four-month, 30-40-hour-week contractor role based on-site in San Francisco, with the possibility to extend. Some evening availability is required for events.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Event Support

  • Assist the Field Marketing Manager in executing a roughly bi-weekly event cadence from September through December — launch party, happy hours, panels and fireside chats, webinars, partner takeovers, holiday activations, and more
  • Handle the logistics behind each event: vendor and catering coordination, AV, supply ordering, signage, setup and teardown, and day-of support so events run on time
  • Help build and maintain the run of show for each event, and keep the shared events calendar and task list current
  • Serve as a second set of hands on-site during events — check-in, guest flow, and troubleshooting whatever comes up
  • Support co-hosted and co-sponsored events with brand partners and community organizations, including SF Tech Week and conference-week programming
  • Help capture attendance and post-event notes so we can tell what worked

Showroom Operations & Guest Experience

  • Be a face of the space during open hours — welcome visitors, explain what Goody is, and walk them through the products on display
  • Keep the showroom looking sharp: displays refreshed, collateral stocked, beverage and snack bar replenished, partner feature rotated on schedule
  • Book sales meetings and event sign-ups, and keep the events schedule and QR-code sign-ups current in the space
  • Run the swag customization and demo room for visitors and appointments

Sales Meeting & Appointment Logistics

  • Set up the space for sales meetings hosted by the CEO, SVP of Sales, Field Marketing Manager, and visiting sales reps — room prep, product displays, materials, refreshments, and reset afterward
  • Manage the appointment booking flow and keep the calendar organized
  • Coordinate the fly-in schedule for sales reps visiting the space and make sure their meeting days are ready to go
  • Help with follow-up logistics for account-based programs targeting companies in the surrounding downtown SF footprint

Vendors, Inventory & Partners

  • Receive and manage swag and product inventory shipped to the space
  • Coordinate with the build-out, design, and fabrication partners on phased updates to the space
  • Serve as the on-the-ground point of contact for day-to-day vendor and facilities questions

WHO YOU ARE

Must-haves

  • 2+ years supporting events, field marketing, account-based marketing or experiential marketing, ideally at a B2B company
  • Based in San Francisco and able to be on-site in the downtown space for the duration of the contract
  • Hands-on event execution experience — you've wrangled vendors, run setup and teardown, and been the person who catches the detail nobody else did
  • Genuinely good with people in a room: comfortable greeting strangers, explaining a product, and turning interest into a booked meeting
  • A jack of all trades who takes direction well and then runs with it — reliable without needing to be chased, and quick to flag what needs a decision
  • Organized enough to support a bi-weekly event cadence, a daily showroom, and a steady stream of sales meetings at the same time
  • Power user of AI tools for leverage, research, and productivity
  • Available ~30-40 hrs/week, including some evenings, starting early September

Bonus points

  • Field marketing experience and familiarity with account-based marketing (ABM) programs
  • Experience supporting a pop-up, showroom, or experiential retail space
  • An existing network in the SF tech and startup community
  • Experience in a related industry (gifting, e-commerce, GTM tech, or HR SaaS)
  • Comfort with sales tooling and scheduling platforms
