About the role

Original posting from Runpod via Ashby

Runpod is the AI Developer Cloud. More than one million developers, from indie researchers to teams running frontier models in production, use Runpod to experiment, train, fine-tune, deploy, and scale AI on one platform. The platform has processed more than 20 billion inference requests. We closed a $100M Series A in June 2026. We're at an inflection point for AI infrastructure, and we're building the platform the next generation of developers will depend on. Learn more in our CEO's funding announcement: https://www.runpod.io/blog/one-million-developers.

We're a small, remote-first team. We take ownership seriously, move fast, and ship work that more than a million developers rely on every day. We're looking for people who care deeply, build with urgency, and want to matter at scale.

The Finance team at Runpod owns the financial infrastructure that lets the company scale with confidence. This role is our dedicated Finance seat for Sales & GTM: you'll bring analytical rigor to how we forecast pipeline, price deals, and measure the return on our go-to-market spend, with Sales and Marketing as your primary stakeholders. As we scale from our Series A into the next phase of growth, we're building that decision-support layer from the ground up. You'll work directly with Runpod's Director of Finance and with leaders across Sales and Marketing in a fast-moving, remote-first environment where ownership and precision matter more than hierarchy.

We're looking for a Finance Manager, Sales & GTM to build and own the analytics behind Runpod's revenue engine. This is a hands-on, builder role for someone who wants to stand up processes from scratch rather than maintain an existing playbook. You'll own pipeline analytics and revenue projections, support the sales team with pricing guidance and deal modeling, administer our sales commission plan, and analyze the return on our marketing investments. Reporting to Runpod's Director of Finance, you'll be central to how we forecast revenue, price deals, and measure the return on our go-to-market investment as we scale.

You'll give Runpod's sales and marketing teams the numbers they need to move fast with confidence. Your pipeline models will shape how leadership reads revenue trajectory, your pricing and deal guidance will shape what sales closes, and your marketing ROI analysis will shape where we spend the next dollar. You'll have the latitude to build these processes from the ground up, and your judgment on where to focus, automate, or dig deeper will directly influence how the company grows.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain pipeline analytics and revenue projection models, giving sales and executive leadership a real-time view of forecasted bookings and quota attainment.
  • Partner with the sales team to provide pricing guidance and deal modeling support on complex or non-standard deals.
  • Administer Runpod's sales commission plan, ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent commission calculations and payouts.
  • Analyze ROI on marketing spend, including CAC, payback period, and other unit economics, to inform budget allocation across channels.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to align on targets, metric definitions, and reporting standards.
  • Identify and implement improvements to sales and GTM reporting infrastructure and processes as the company scales.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, or a related analytical role, with a strong foundation in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets modeling, with experience working in CRM systems and BI tools.
  • Comfort driving ambiguous initiatives to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • Successful completion of a background check.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a high-growth startup or venture-backed technology company.
  • Experience administering a sales commission plan, including calculations, reconciliation, and dispute resolution.
  • Experience building pricing and deal models to support sales negotiations.
  • Experience analyzing marketing ROI and unit economics (CAC, payback period, LTV).
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and financial operations.
  • Experience in the AI infrastructure, cloud, or data center industry.

What You’ll Receive:

  • The competitive base pay for this position ranges from $140,000 - $180,000 USD. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Runpod and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
  • Meaningful equity in a fast-growing company- everyone on the team receives stock options — your impact drives our growth, and you share in the upside.
  • Generous medical, dental & vision plans.
  • Flexible PTO- take the time you need to recharge.
  • Most roles are remote work first with an inclusive, collaborative teams utilizing slack as the main form of internal communication.
  • Join a passionate team on the cutting edge of AI infrastructure — where culture, learning, and ownership are at the heart of how we scale.
