ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage team building AI-first software for architecture and construction. As a founding engineer, you will help create a new BIM authoring tool designed for AI agents, with the opportunity to grow into a technical leadership role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build the geometry and data core of a new BIM authoring tool.
  • Develop AI agents that can plan and edit real building models.
  • Create generative design capabilities that account for building codes and client constraints.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience shipping production software; one to two years may be suitable if paired with substantial personal projects.
  • Hands-on experience with 3D geometry or CAD, such as geometry kernels, B-rep or mesh modeling, CAD APIs, or IFC.
  • Regular, practical experience building with LLMs and AI agents.
  • A generalist mindset, with the ability to work across the stack and get productive quickly in unfamiliar areas.
  • Startup or founder experience, strong English fluency, and a willingness to work in an early-stage environment.
  • Experience leading engineers or making architecture decisions is valuable, as is AEC or BIM domain knowledge.
  • Useful technologies include Python, PyTorch, TypeScript, and three.js, as well as generative or multimodal models for 3D or visual data.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Stock options are available. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must already be authorized to work in the EU, UK, or Switzerland.

LOCATION

Remote from Europe, including Switzerland and the UK. The primary location is Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Candidates should be based in Europe or willing to relocate there.
