About the role

Original posting from Netgear via Ashby

We're looking for an execution-focused HR Generalist to support our regional HRBP leads across a global employee population. This role sits at the center of the HR function connecting strategy to action and people to answers. You're as comfortable building a process as you are sitting across from an employee navigating something complex. You approach your work with curiosity, move fast without cutting corners, and actively look for ways AI tools can make your work smarter. This is a hybrid role and can be based out of our Chennai or Bangalore office. It is a 6 month contract with possible extension or conversion.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support lead HRBPs across global teams managing day-to-day HR needs, preparing for business reviews, and handling employee touchpoints so HRBPs can stay focused on strategic work.

· Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers across multiple regions navigating policy questions, coaching conversations, and routine escalations with professionalism and care.

· Own end-to-end execution on HR programs and initiatives — from performance cycles and compensation planning to onboarding, offboarding, and policy rollouts.

· Leverage AI tools to drive efficiency - whether it's drafting communications, analyzing people data, or surfacing insights that help HRBPs make faster, more informed decisions.

· Track open items, follow through on commitments, and maintain HRIS data with a high standard of accuracy - you're the person who ensures things don't fall through the cracks.

· Partner with HR colleagues globally - coordinating across time zones, adapting to regional nuance, and helping drive consistency in how we deliver HR across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

· 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience, ideally in a fast-paced, global environment

· Strong communication skills with the confidence and polish to interact directly with employees, managers, and senior leaders

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously - you close loops, you follow up, and you're known for getting things done

· An active user of AI tools in your day-to-day work - you don't just know they exist; you've built real habits around using them to work smarter

· Solid working knowledge of HR fundamentals - employee relations, performance management, employment law basics, and HRIS systems

· A collaborative instinct - you support without waiting to be asked, and you make the people around you more effective

· Discretion and sound judgment - you handle sensitive information with care and know when to escalate

Preferred Qualifications (optional):

· Experience supporting HR across multiple countries or regions. Exposure to change management, organizational design, or workforce planning. Background in high-growth tech or hardware companies.
