About the role

MISSION

Neko is redefining what prevention means, from treating illness when it arrives, to sustaining health before it's ever at risk. Our mission: make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people, before symptoms appear.

In a single, non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and direct clinical care combine to deliver personalised, actionable insights. It's a team that thinks in 10x, not 10%. Every role here plays a part in building a world where prevention is the norm, and where your work genuinely helps people live longer, healthier lives.

ROLE PURPOSE

Neko Health members trust us with their health and their data, and our teams work in clinics that are open to the public. The Global Security Lead owns the physical security of every Neko site, from the first design drawings to daily operations, in every market we operate in or plan to enter.

This is a build role. With hundreds of new locations planned across global markets, you will set the global standard, KPIs and business goals, and establish the standards, checks and processes that let every new clinic open secure, adapted to each market’s legislation and needs.

You will own Neko’s day-to-day security management so that our members and staff are in a safe and secure environment, select and implement the systems to run it at scale, and make sure security keeps pace as we continue to open Neko clinics globally.

WHAT YOU’LL DELIVER IN THE FIRST 6–12 MONTHS

Clinic Openings

  • A repeatable opening process, with the security standards, checks and sign-offs every new clinic must pass before it opens, built to work across hundreds of locations in different markets.
  • Global physical security standards (access control, CCTV, guarding, visitor management, incident reporting) that every new clinic is built to, with local variations where the law requires it.
  • Security requirements written into the plans for every new clinic, agreed with the construction and real estate teams before designs are final, and checked at handover.
  • Working relationships with local police and authorities in each market.

Risk Management and Infrastructure

  • A global security management system, adapted locally for each market, that oversees day-to-day security across every clinic and office.
  • A risk baseline for every open clinic and office, with clear priorities and owners.
  • Lead incident management, business continuity and preventative security, including running lessons-learned reviews after incidents.
  • Business continuity plans for security events, agreed with operations and risk.
  • Joined up controls with Information Security and Privacy, so physical and digital protection of patient data work together.
  • A security operating model: what sits with you centrally, what sits with regional leads, and the hiring plan to get there.

Day to Day Operations

  • Ownership of Neko’s day-to-day security management, so our members and staff are in a safe and secure environment in every clinic.
  • Security that feels like global first-class service: clear standards for how guards and front-of-house teams treat members and visitors.
  • An incident and escalation process, a coverage model for out of hours, and emergency and crisis response plans that are tested through drills.
  • A clear way to investigate incidents involving members, staff, vendors and partners, working with HR and legal.
  • Security vendors and guarding partners selected, contracted and managed in each market, with shared service levels and a clear budget.
  • Ongoing reporting to the COO covering incidents, near misses, cost per site and open risks.

Tech Forward

  • Selection and implementation of the systems used to manage security globally.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years in physical security, including at least 5 years leading security across multiple markets.
  • Has set up security for new sites from design through opening, not only existing ones.
  • Has managed security vendors, guarding contracts and budgets across several regions.
  • Has led incident and crisis response, including investigations and post incident reviews.
  • Calm under pressure and trusted with sensitive information.
  • Comfortable working with senior leaders and with construction, real estate and operations teams.
  • Able to travel regularly between markets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in multi-site, public facing businesses such as co-working, retail, hospitality, fitness, tech, wellness or healthcare.
  • Experience building a security function as a business scaled from a few sites to many.
  • Working knowledge of electronic security systems and their integration into new builds.
  • Experience selecting and implementing systems to manage security at scale.
  • Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, or equivalent.
