THE ROLE

As Head of Controllership, you will be tasked with transforming our cross-border financial operations into a fully scalable, audit-ready global infrastructure.

Serving as a fundamental pillar of our financial management, you will build and direct the multi-currency, multi-entity accounting ledger linking our operations in Latin America and the US. This strategic leadership position demands relentless precision to streamline financial close schedules, architect an advanced Chart of Accounts, and establish robust balance sheet reporting suited for upcoming strategic corporate milestones, such as debt capital facilities and future capital markets readiness. You will work side by side with leadership to align ambitious commercial expansion with rigorous financial controls and global compliance.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Financial Close & Reporting: Direct end-to-end close routines across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, driving multi-jurisdictional financial statements and multi-currency consolidations.
  • ERP & Infrastructure Implementation: Spearhead company-wide ERP rollouts, crafting advanced Chart of Accounts architecture, automated journal mechanics, and seamless ledger data flows.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Own regulatory reporting for our licensed entities across Latin America and Europe, including the regulator’s accounting standards, recurring reports, and capital and liquidity monitoring.
  • External Audit & Compliance: Manage external audit relationships and steer regional compliance filings alongside global accounting firms, local advisors, and operational partners.
  • Financial Standards & Compliance: Maintain full alignment with international financial reporting standards, including US GAAP, IFRS, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Digital Workflow Optimization: Identify efficiency opportunities to convert manual accounting steps into automated, scalable digital workflows built for scale.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and Product engineering to protect general ledger integrity during feature launches.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Demonstrated background in public accounting within Big 4 environments covering Technology or Financial Services, followed by progressive management exposure in scale-up fintech or digital banking organizations.
  • Comprehensive mastery of US GAAP, IFRS, multi-currency consolidations, and complex international regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to orchestrate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close schedules within high-velocity, rapidly changing operating environments.
  • Advanced technical capabilities managing enterprise ERP deployments and architecting modern financial data pipelines.

NICE-TO-HAVES

  • Exposure to cross-border transfer pricing, fintech tax strategies, and external audit facilitation.
  • Direct involvement in institutional debt financing, public market readiness, or late-stage capital raises.
  • Hands-on proficiency with SQL for ledger queries, transaction auditing, and large-scale data reconciliation.

BENEFITS

  • Sign-on stock options bonus, so you become part of the success of the company
  • Discretionary performance bonus (stock options)
  • Paid annual leave
  • Private health insurance
  • Latest technology to work with
