About the Job

As a key growth accelerator, A11 partners with Europe’s most ambitious startups and scaleups, corporates and SMBs to connect them with top-tier talent ready to make an impact.

We're looking for a hands-on Head of Operational Integration for the finance team at one of our Ecosystem Companies. You own what happens after an acquisition closes, until the acquired business performs better than before. This role is not about sourcing deals, valuation, or legal documentation.

Join the A11 Ecosystem – a next-generation supply chain platform redefining how one of the world's largest industries sources, distributes, and finances materials. Engineered to unlock the full potential of global trade, it harnesses agentic AI and workflow automation to provide seamless, high-efficiency access to premium materials at scale. Since its commercial rollout, the platform has fueled exponential growth, optimizing procurement for thousands of businesses while setting new benchmarks for speed, transparency, and efficiency. Its competitive edge lies in full digitization and AI-driven supply chain management automation, eliminating inefficiencies and creating a direct, intelligent bridge between suppliers and buyers. With a team of 80+ FTEs across Europe (Berlin HQ), China, and India, the company is rapidly scaling toward profitability, driving triple-digit million GMV, and setting new industry standards in autonomous, AI-powered supply chain orchestration.

In this role, you’ll:

Establish management control from day one

Gain access to accounting from day one and set up a fixed monthly close

Introduce one reporting framework across all acquired entities

Establish a baseline for revenue, margin, working capital, cash, and customer and supplier concentration

Turn due diligence commitments into a 100-day operating rhythm

Diagnose on the ground

Spend substantial time inside each business to verify its real condition

Map the connections across procurement, pricing, inventory, sales productivity, logistics, financing, ERP, and reporting

Test integration theses, keep those that hold, drop those that don't, and report findings quickly to the CEO

Create value with management

Roll out levers such as central procurement, credit and working-capital facilities, pricing, sales productivity, customer intelligence, and back-office automation

Decide with the CEO what to centralize, what to keep local, and what to adopt from acquired businesses

Track the euro impact of each lever against the original investment case

Build trusted relationships with owners and management

Engage as a peer of owner-managers: verify claims and name problems directly

Set clear expectations that the goal is to support, not to solve problems on their behalf

Build the integration playbook and team

Create a repeatable system: Day-1 checklist, reporting standard, diagnostic framework, lever library, and 100-day plan

Make each integration faster than the last

Over time, build and lead a team that runs several integrations in parallel

Your Profile:

Around 8-12 years of experience in private equity value creation or portfolio operations, or in strategy and transformation with significant time inside operating companies

At least one integration or post-close situation you personally led, with a specific problem solved and a clear view of why the solution worked

Hands-on operating experience in procurement, pricing, supply chain, finance, or sales at a real company

Comfortable working with highly capable, informal owner-entrepreneurs, and strong at influencing without formal authority

Fast, accurate at reading businesses and people

Fluent in modern AI tools, with a habit of automating your own work (engineering skills are not required)

Fluent German and English, as key conversations take place in German

Please note that this position is based in Berlin

Benefits and Perks:

Fulfil a role with entrepreneurial freedom and help scale a high-impact business model

Join an experienced founding team of serial and 2nd-time founders

Attractive base and bonus compensation program

Collaboration with top-tier investors and angels (incl. various unicorn founders) as well as leading market experts

If you’re eager to join the A11 Ecosystem and shape what’s next, we want to hear from you!
