Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.

This is a contract-to-hire position with the goal of transitioning to full-time employment, based onsite at our customer facility in Fontana, CA.

As a Humanoid Robot Operator & Data Creator, you'll work hands-on with our humanoid robots in a live commercial environment — running operations, collecting the motion data that trains our models, and keeping the site running day to day. This role sits on the front line of field deployment, and you'll be counted on to pitch in wherever the site needs it, not just what's listed below.

Shift: Morning and overnight shift positions available.

Responsibilities:

Ensure successful day-to-day operations of the robot(s) on the customer site

Wear sensor equipment to collect high-quality motion data used to train AI models

Follow proper equipment and robot maintenance procedures, including bring-up, setup, and shutdown

Run the robot, identify bugs and problems, and relay feedback to the appropriate teams

Track, document, and escalate issues to engineering teams using Jira

Flag issues or bugs during data collection and share daily feedback with the team

Adhere to all safety procedures related to robot and teleoperation equipment

Maintain a safe, organized workspace across all operations

Support general site upkeep and other hands-on tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

Requirements:

Willing and able to travel throughout the US

Willingness to own the operations of the humanoid and drive proper functioning of the robot

Excellent communication skills

Excellent physical coordination, spatial awareness, and focus

Can stand 8+ hours a day and physically manage humanoid hardware

Master new physical tasks quickly and find the optimal way to perform them

Demonstrate sustained focus and attention while performing assigned tasks

Embrace constructive feedback and strive for constant improvement

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

The US base hourly rate for this full-time position is $30/hr.
