The company was founded in 1967 to provide middle school travel programs to Washington, D.C. and has grown to provide a wide range of programs for more than half a million students annually to over 100 countries around the world. WorldStrides offers experiential learning programs in educational travel, performing arts, language immersion, career exploration, service-learning, study abroad, and sports. Each of these experiences helps students to see beyond the classroom and to see the world – and themselves – in new ways.

Job Description:

We’re looking for an articulate and motivated individual to join our team as a Sales Representative for student travel programs. This is not your typical sales role — experience in sales isn’t required, but a genuine curiosity, strong communication skills, and emotional intelligence are essential. The role calls for someone adaptable and open-minded, able to stay composed under pressure and find creative solutions when plans change. You’ll collaborate closely with a team that values communication, trust, and shared success over competition, contributing to an environment where everyone grows together. If you’re someone who learns quickly, enjoys engaging conversations, and thrives in situations that challenge you to think critically and empathically, this role offers the chance to build meaningful connections while helping others experience opportunities of a lifetime.

Responsibilities:

Make outbound calls to prospective parents, students, or leads using provided scripts and contact lists.

Handle inbound calls from prospective parents and students and discuss the value of the program.

Clearly communicate the value of our programs and answer basic questions

Maintain accurate records of calls, outcomes, and follow-ups in CRM system

Meet daily and monthly call quotas and sales performance targets

Follow up with interested contacts to guide them through next steps.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in telemarketing, customer service, or sales preferred

Excellent verbal communication and listening skills

Comfortable speaking on the phone for extended periods

Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Windows basics like Excel and Word, and preferably on CRM tools as well

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
