Job Description

The Lumber Manufactory (TLM) is building the future of sustainable lumber with next-generation sawmill technology. We design and operate state-of-the-art modular sawmills that produce high-grade dimensional wood products with greater efficiency and less waste. Backed by leading investors including Cantos, Slow Ventures, Susa Ventures, Banter Capital, Humba Ventures, and Ravelin Capital.

We are seeking a Machine Operator to operate and maintain sawmill equipment, ensuring efficient processing of logs into lumber. The ideal candidate will have experience with automated sawmill machinery, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and maintaining production flow

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate sawmill machinery, including saws, conveyors, and sorting systems.
  • Monitor equipment performance and adjust settings for optimal efficiency.
  • Inspect logs and lumber for quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on sawmill equipment.
  • Ensure proper alignment and feeding of logs into the sawmill system.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth production operations.

Requirements:

  • Experience operating sawmill machinery or similar industrial equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Knowledge of lumber processing and sawmill operations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
