Manager, Global Mobility & People Relations Job Description

This role owns Renaissance's global mobility and immigration programs at the policy and oversight level, ensuring a consistent, compliant, and positive experience for employees who relocate or work across borders, with day-to-day execution of immigration, tax, and relocation casework delivered by an external partner. It also serves as a People Relations Manager: working closely with HR Business Partners and HR Centers of Excellence to provide HR guidance to Renaissance leaders and employees, and, together with HR Operations, acting as a go-to resource for employee questions. The role also leads selected HR programs and process improvements across the function. It is an advisory, hands-on role for someone who builds trust with leaders and employees, uses data to inform people decisions, and can move multiple workstreams forward at once.

In this role as Manager, Global Mobility & People Relations, you will be responsible for:

Global Mobility Program Oversight

Own expatriate and immigration programs at the policy level, ensuring a consistent, compliant experience.

Manage relocation, immigration, and tax vendors against service levels, timelines, and budget.

Serve as escalation point for mobility and immigration matters across vendor, employees, managers, and HR.

Track cases, visa and filing deadlines, and program costs so that nothing time-sensitive is missed.

Maintain and update mobility and relocation policies as business needs change.

Compliance & Reporting

Work with Legal and vendors to keep mobility and immigration activity compliant.

Provide regular reporting on program status, cost, and risk to HR leadership.

People Relations & Business Partnership

Guide employees and managers on policies, HR practices, and COE topics.

Partner with SMEs to keep employee-facing policies current and draft new ones as needed.

Meet with employees regarding policy complaints and concerns; escalate as appropriate.

Partner with HRBPs and COEs to deliver HR projects, including year-end, talent review, and strategic initiatives.

Assist leaders in understanding people data and compliance items.

Program & Project Management

Plan and deliver projects from scoping through execution and post-launch review.

Maintain documentation, playbooks, and SOPs so key processes are repeatable and not person-dependent.

Manage project trackers.

Drive change management for new processes and systems.

Qualifications

For this role as Manager, Global Mobility & People Relations, you should have:

Experience with global mobility, immigration, or relocation programs, or managing a mobility or immigration vendor.

Ability to manage external vendors to service levels and budget.

5+ years of progressive HR experience in a COE or HR generalist role, with in-depth knowledge of HR principles and policies.

Working knowledge of employment law and employee relations practice, with sound judgment on sensitive and confidential matters.

Credibility with senior stakeholders and the ability to coach, challenge, and influence managers.

Strong project and program management skills: scoping, planning, stakeholder management, and on-time delivery across cross-functional teams.

Experience improving and documenting processes, ideally with a systems or automation component.

Excellent communication and change-management skills.

Comfort with HR and project software, for example UKG and project or collaboration tools.

Highly organized, with the ability to run multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Bonus Points:

Exposure to tax, finance, compensation or employee benefits programs.

SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, CIPD, or PMP certification is a plus.

Salary Range: The base range for this position is $109,500 - $150,525. This range is based on national market data and may vary by experience and location.
