The Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring the security of our information systems and ensuring that our company is compliant with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of information security principles, as well as experience managing security programs and teams. This individual will work with business leaders, managed services personnel and customers to monitor and instill trust in the security and reliability of AHEAD systems, services and programs. 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and standards to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems and data 

Manage a team of information security professionals and ensure their training and development 

Oversee security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats and recommend remediation actions 

Monitor and respond to security incidents, including leading incident response efforts and conducting root cause analysis 

Stay current on industry trends and regulations, including GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001, and ensure that the company is compliant with relevant standards 

Collaborate with other departments to ensure the integration of information security into all aspects of the business 

Act as a security advisor to clients and provide guidance on security best practices and industry standards 

Represent the company in industry events and engage with stakeholders to promote the company's security capabilities 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 

12 or more years of experience in Technology or Information Security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. 

One or more security certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, CIPP/US, PCI QSA, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor is required. 

Advanced level of understanding of technologies including information security, applications, infrastructure, networking, telephony, virtualization, storage, data protection, cloud and VDI solutions. 

Experience with SaaS and Cloud Provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) security is highly desirable. 

Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulation requirements (ex. CCPA, GDPR, FCC, NYDFS, SHIELD, etc.) 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to a non-technical audience. 

Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities 

Highly organized and ability to work independently.
