About the role

Original posting from Tubi via Greenhouse

About the Role:

Tubi is looking for a culturally fluent, highly creative Social Media Manager to help identify and bring to life the unexpected opportunities that keep Tubi at the center of culture and close to our fans.

This role will focus on cultural opportunity scouting, fandom and community marketing, and social-led activations. You'll be deeply tapped into what audiences are talking about, watching, sharing, and obsessing over, as well as, identifying the creators, communities, behaviors, and emerging moments where Tubi has a credible reason to participate.

Spotting the opportunity is only half the job. We're looking for someone who can turn cultural signals into ideas and then make them happen, whether that's an unexpected creator partnership, a community activation, a quick-turn stunt, an IRL fan moment, or something we haven't tried before.

You'll work closely with the broader Social team and partners across Brand, Content, PR, Creator, and other functions to help Tubi show up in ways that feel fan-first, culturally relevant, and unmistakably Tubi.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Los Angeles office. You must be willing to travel to our Los Angeles office two days/week.

What You'll Do:

Scout emerging creators, communities, fandom behaviors, conversations, and cultural moments, turning the strongest signals into opportunistic partnerships and activations that expand where and how Tubi shows up in culture

Develop social-first ideas and activations rooted in audience behavior and cultural momentum, from scrappy quick-turn opportunities to larger community stunts and partnerships

Lead community-driven programs and activations across Tubi's priority fandoms, helping build sustained affinity beyond individual title launches

Own opportunities from idea through execution, including developing the strategic approach, building the business case, coordinating partners, managing timelines, and bringing the final experience to life

Collaborate across Brand, Content, PR, CRM, B2B, Creative Studio, and other teams to identify ways successful social ideas can extend into broader marketing opportunities

Bring a clear point of view on where Tubi should or shouldn't participate, balancing cultural relevance with brand fit and potential impact

Evaluate activations and experiments to identify actionable learnings, shape future opportunities, and recommend where the team should iterate, invest, or take bigger swings

Your Background:

5+ years of experience in social media, cultural marketing, experiential, creator marketing, community, or a related field, ideally within entertainment or a culture-first consumer brand

Deeply fluent in internet culture, fandoms, creators, and online communities, with strong instincts for what's gaining momentum before it becomes obvious

A creative thinker who naturally sees possibilities in audience behavior: you don't just notice what's happening, you immediately start thinking about what a brand could do with it

Equally comfortable ideating and executing; you can take an interesting cultural observation and turn it into an actionable plan

Strong understanding of what makes a brand's participation in culture feel credible versus forced

Skilled cross-functional collaborator who can build enthusiasm around an idea while navigating stakeholders, approvals, and operational realities

Excellent communicator with the ability to clearly articulate the cultural insight, creative idea, and business rationale behind a recommendation

Passionate about entertainment and deeply curious about the communities that form around TV, movies, creators, and culture, with strong creative taste and a high bar for execution
