About the role

Original posting from HelloFresh

The role: What's in the Box

Our Amsterdam People team is looking for an Office & Events Manager to make sure the office is a place where people genuinely enjoy working. You'll be the first point of contact for everything happening in the space: from day-to-day requests, to health & safety, engagement activities and to the events that bring the Benelux team together.

Your organizational skills and creativity will directly shape how employees experience HelloFresh besides their core work, and you'll have the freedom to run with ideas that make the office a little more fun, functional, and welcoming, while also helping build a workplace that reflects and celebrates our diversity.

Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

Own the day-to-day running of the Amsterdam office, making sure it's a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming space to work

Act as the first point of contact for colleagues and guests, managing meeting rooms, reception flow, and requests with speed and a smile

Liaise with building management on facility-related matters and coordinate with vendors and service providers to keep the office running smoothly, while managing supply budgets and stock levels

Coordinate health & safety and facilities compliance for the office (e.g. fire safety, ergonomics, BHV coordination)

Support new hire onboarding with desk setup, welcome packages, and smooth first-day logistics

Organize team moments, events, and celebrations that drive employee engagement: from birthdays and anniversaries to team sessions,  bringing your own creative ideas to the table

Own the DE&I calendar, coordinating initiatives and observances that help build an inclusive office culture

Translate Happiness Survey findings into concrete actions and support internal communications, including the People newsletter

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

1-2 years of experience in office management, hospitality, or a similar coordinating role, with a strong service- and people-oriented mindset

Solid organizational and planning skills, comfortable juggling day-to-day requests alongside longer-term projects and events

You're creative and able to improvise, staying calm under pressure, whether that's last-minute event changes or an unexpected office hiccup

Familiarity with everyday office tools (e.g. Google Workspace, Slack, Canva) and openness to picking up new systems as needed

Discretion and a trustworthy approach to sensitive moments and information, paired with flexibility for occasional irregular hours around events

Fluency in both English and Dutch is a must

A passion for food and cooking is a big plus — you may help prepare lunches or occasionally step in for our Kitchen Hero during their absence

Above all, we are looking for people who will make HelloFresh better. There are many different ways of developing skills, and we love diverse experiences! So even if you don’t “tick all the boxes” but think you’d thrive in this role, we would really like to learn more about you.
