About the role

Original posting from OpenTeams via Greenhouse

Who We Are

Every organization runs on intelligence: years of accumulated knowledge, decisions, and context. As AI takes on more of that work, companies face a choice: rent that intelligence from vendors who keep the data, the context, and the results, or own it.

OpenTeams exists to make ownership possible.

Founded by Travis Oliphant, creator of NumPy and SciPy, and built by people with deep roots across the open-source ecosystem, including NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch, and Jupyter, we help enterprises and governments build AI they control, govern, and evolve themselves.

If that sounds like your kind of work, we'd like to meet you.

Help Organizations Own Their AI

Product, UX, technical writing, developer relations, sales, and other business functions

You may also indicate interest in internships or early-career opportunities. Availability will depend on future hiring needs.

Relevant Skills & Technologies

Depending on the role or project, relevant experience may include:

Python, NumPy, SciPy, pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch

JavaScript/TypeScript, frontend frameworks, backend services, and API design

Jupyter, Nebari, conda, Python packaging, and reproducible environments

Linux, containers, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure as code

CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, reliability, and secure delivery

AI/ML workflows, model serving, evaluation, retrieval, and data pipelines

Authentication, authorization, SSO, and identity integrations

Technical requirements, delivery planning, client communication, and engineering tradeoffs

These are examples of relevant specialties, not a checklist of required qualifications. Share your strongest skills and the work you would like to pursue.

Commercial & Government Opportunities

OpenTeams supports both commercial clients and government organizations. Opportunities may be remote, hybrid, or onsite, with location and travel requirements that vary by role.

Some government opportunities require U.S. citizenship, a current security clearance, or the ability to undergo a government-sponsored clearance process. Requirements are specific to the position. You do not need a clearance to express general interest in OpenTeams.

What We Value

We value curiosity, ownership, clear communication, collaboration, and practical problem-solving. Relevant experience may come from employment, consulting, research, education, personal projects, or open source contributions.

Contributions can include code, documentation, testing, design, accessibility, or community support.
