Job Title: Infusion Coordinator

Job Summary: The Infusion Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end order processing for infusion services, including order intake, chart review, insurance eligibility, patient scheduling, and ensuring timely processing of infusion orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing intake processes for infusion orders including creating patient charts, reviewing and entering orders, obtaining clinical requirements, and communicating with prescriber on missing documents.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, obtain clinical requirements for authorizations, and track patients’ progress.
  • Communicate with patients and providers regarding the status of infusion order.
  • Refer or assist with enrollment any patients who express financial necessity to manufacturer copay assistance programs and/or foundations.
  • Educate patients for pre/post-infusion expectations and answer questions regarding patient appointments.
  • Manage REMS program requirements
  • Scheduling patient appointments for infusion services.
  • Coordinating drug orders prior to infusion appointments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include superior interpersonal and patient contact skills and excellent telephone manners.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with patient scheduling and insurance billing for medical services with general knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes. Infusion experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation review
