ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking to grow our People Operations team to own the systems and processes that support every employee throughout their time at WorkOS. You'll be responsible for the infrastructure behind payroll, benefits, compensation, HR compliance, and employee lifecycle operations.

This role is ideal for someone who loves building clean, scalable systems and sweating the details. You'll partner closely with Recruiting, Finance, Legal, and managers across the company to ensure every operational touchpoint is thoughtful, accurate, and fast.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own payroll operations across the US, international employees and contractors
  • Manage employee benefits, annual renewals, vendor relationships, and employee education
  • Administer compensation programs, merit cycles, promotions, market benchmarking, and equity-related processes
  • Prepare and manage employment agreements, compensation change letters, and other employee documentation
  • Own new hire onboarding and offboarding operations
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and improve People systems and workflows
  • Partner with Finance on headcount planning, payroll reconciliation, and reporting
  • Support compliance across employment law, audits, leaves, and required documentation
  • Build scalable operational processes that can support rapid company growth
  • Improve internal documentation and self-service resources for employees

REQUIREMENTS

  • Have 5+ years of People Operations or HR experience at a high growth start up
  • Have owned payroll and benefits end-to-end
  • Are comfortable managing compensation cycles and partnering with Finance
  • Have experience with HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms like Rippling
  • Love building processes that remove friction
  • Notice small details before anyone else does
  • Balance speed with accuracy
  • Enjoy making complex operational work feel invisible to employees
