With a network of over 500 experienced and diverse doulas, Loula is building the leading provider network for birth and postpartum doula care. We partner with both Medicaid and commercial health insurance plans to make it easier for doulas to accept health insurance without the administrative burden.

Loula offers full-service support for Medicaid enrollment, credentialing, insurance verification, medical billing, and payment to doulas in California. By taking on the operational complexity, Loula empowers doulas to focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care.

๐Ÿ›  Minimum Qualifications

You'll need:

  • 5 years of experience as a doula, with 3 letters of recommendation OR
  • If you've trained as a birth/full-spectrum doula, 16 hours of birth/full-spectrum doula training and attendance at 3 births as a doulaa

You'll also need:

  • Adult and infant CPR training
  • HIPAA training
  • Liability insurance

If you don't yet have CPR training, HIPAA training, liability insurance, or the letters of recommendation, you can still reach out! We can support you in getting set up with these requirements.
