About the role

THE FAMILY

We're Seth and Tori Bolt, the family behind Bolt Farm Treehouse. We have a three-year-old daughter, a newborn son, and a growing family. We're a faith-centered, health-conscious, family-first home, and we've chosen to homeschool.

Our daughter is bright, bilingual, and ready for more intentional learning than she's getting today. We're looking for the person who will carry that learning, and our kids' Spanish, for the next decade.

YOUR TEAM

You'll join a small, well-run household. Seth and Tori design the systems: learning plans, routines, and household workflows, supported by AI and ClickUp. Tori teaches some, too. Our nanny cares for the baby during the day and works side by side with you. A remote admin handles bills and vendors, and cleaning, adult dinners, and lawn care are outsourced, so your time goes to the kids.

In late 2027 to early 2028, we move to Nashville. Our nanny is staying in Whitwell, which makes you the constant: the one person who carries the kids' learning, Spanish, and routines through the move and beyond.

YOUR ROLE

You'll run our home learning rhythm and care for our daughter from lunch through bedtime. About 90 minutes a day is structured, screen-free learning from plans we build together. The rest is learning-rich care: baking, gardening, reading, building, a trip to the zoo, all with real learning woven in. Household work happens alongside the kids, Montessori-style, so they learn practical life from you.

This is a long-term seat. As more of our kids reach school age, the teaching share grows: same hours, different mix. In 90 days, the daily learning rhythm is running and the household tasks happen without reminders. In a year, the move to Nashville goes smoothly with the kids' routines intact. In five years, our kids are reading, curious, and growing in character, and you're a trusted part of our family. It suits someone who follows systems and checklists, makes sound calls on their own, welcomes feedback, and loves an active, on-your-feet day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead about 90 minutes a day of structured, screen-free learning from plans we build together
  • Turn the rest of the afternoon into learning: outings, cooking, building, reading, nature, and practical life
  • Keep Spanish immersion going every day
  • Care fully for our daughter (and the older kids as they grow) through the afternoon, dinner, and bedtime
  • Cook the kids' snacks and dinner from scratch with whole foods
  • Fold laundry, run errands, tend the garden, and pack for trips, with the kids joining in where they can
  • Own home inventory: on-site counts and ordering for the pantry, household, and kids' supplies
  • Log progress in ClickUp (voice notes are fine)
  • Partner closely with our nanny, saving focused admin for when she has the kids or after bedtime
  • Support one or two family trips a year: packing, unpacking, and traveling with us

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent Spanish: you can teach a lesson and hold a full conversation with a child in Spanish
  • Experience teaching or guiding young children (Montessori, preschool, homeschool, private teaching, or similar)
  • Experience cooking simple, from-scratch whole-food meals
  • Available 5 days a week, 12:00–8:00 PM
  • Willing to relocate to Nashville with the family and commit to 5+ years

NICE TO HAVE

  • Teaching credentials or early-childhood certification
  • Montessori, homeschool, or behavioral psychology background
  • Gardening, chickens, or nature-based learning (raised beds and animals are coming)
  • Experience supporting a busy family with household systems and travel

SCHEDULE, PAY & BENEFITS

  • 5 days a week, 12:00–8:00 PM. Workdays will be Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday, confirmed at offer.
  • Whitwell, TN now; Nashville from late 2027 to early 2028. Live-out for now, with a live-in option (private in-law suite) planned for a future home.
  • $70,000–$95,000 a year depending on experience, plus a yearly retention increase
  • Paid time off
  • Meals during your shifts
  • Travel costs covered when you travel with the family
  • Free stays at Bolt Farm Treehouse
  • Full-time, W-2
