Align is seeking a Product Manager to support AI/HPC cabling assemblies, bundled cabling products, and solution development for high-density data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will help define, package, and commercialize scalable cabling solutions that support AI training clusters, GPU environments, high-performance computing fabrics, and hyperscale data center deployments.

This role is ideal for a product-minded leader with strong technical understanding of structured cabling, fiber and copper assemblies, bundled jumpers, trunk cabling, AOC/DAC solutions, and data center deployment requirements. The candidate will partner closely with sales, design, sourcing, project delivery team operations, vendors, and clients to translate market needs into practical product offerings, standardized configurations, pricing models, documentation, and deployment-ready solutions.

This is a full-time salaried position offering competitive compensation (commensurate with experience) comprehensive benefits, paid time off, paid training and performance-based bonuses.

This person should expect to be on-site at our Plano, TX office 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

Own and maintain the roadmap for AI/HPC cabling assemblies, bundled jumper solutions, trunk cabling, and related physical-layer infrastructure offerings.

Translate customer, sales, engineering, and project delivery requirements into standardized product families, configurations, and solution packages.

Identify market needs and trends tied to GPU clusters, high-density fiber pathways, low-latency interconnects, scalable rack-to-rack connectivity, and repeatable data center deployments.

Develop business cases for new product offerings, including market opportunity, competitive positioning, target customers, pricing approach, and margin expectations.

Solution Development & Technical Enablement

Partner with design, operations, project delivery and vendor teams to define technical requirements for fiber, copper, AOC, DAC, MPO/MTP, bundled assemblies, labeling, packaging, testing, and quality control.

Support development of pre-configured and custom assembly solutions that reduce installation time, improve cable management, and support scalable AI/HPC deployment models.

Create product specifications, configuration guides, support ordering tool development, bill-of-material templates, application notes, and sales enablement content.

Ensure developed solutions account for pathway congestion, airflow, serviceability, labeling, port mapping, testing requirements, and future expansion.

Go-to-Market & Sales Support

Support sales teams with product positioning, customer presentations, proposal language, solution comparison, and value messaging for AI/HPC cabling opportunities.

Collaborate with client-facing teams to capture customer requirements and convert them into repeatable product and solution offerings.

Develop & support pricing frameworks, quoting guidance, and packaging strategies that support both standard catalog offerings and custom engineered solutions.

Provide technical and commercial support during pursuits, demos, solution reviews, and post-award handoff to execution teams.

Vendor, Sourcing & Lifecycle Management

Work with sourcing and vendor partners to qualify materials, assemblies, lead times, cost structures, manufacturing capabilities, and supply chain risks.

Maintain awareness of evolving AI/HPC infrastructure trends, including higher fiber counts, 400G/800G connectivity, high-density connectors, modular cabling systems, and GPU fabric requirements.

Track product performance, customer feedback, quality issues, demand patterns, and lifecycle changes to improve offerings over time.

Coordinate with operations to ensure solutions are practical to build, kit, label, ship, install, test, and support at scale.

Key Performance Indicators

Product roadmap execution: Delivers prioritized AI/HPC cabling product roadmap milestones on schedule, including new assemblies, bundled solutions, configuration standards, and supporting documentation.

New product and solution adoption: Tracks revenue, margin, quote volume, win rate, and customer adoption for newly launched cabling assemblies, bundled products, and solution packages.

Sales enablement effectiveness: Provides accurate product specifications, pricing guidance, proposal content, and sales tools that reduce response time and improve consistency across customer pursuits.

Standardization and repeatability: Increases use of standardized configurations, bills of material, labeling conventions, kitting methods, and deployment-ready solution packages across projects.

Operational readiness: Ensures products are practical to source, kit, label, package, ship, install, test, and support with minimal field disruption or rework.

Quality and issue resolution: Monitors product defects, labeling issues, configuration errors, installation concerns, returns, and customer feedback; drives corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Vendor and supply chain performance: Tracks vendor qualification, lead times, cost competitiveness, availability, and sourcing risk for custom and standard cabling assemblies.

Margin and commercial performance: Supports pricing discipline, cost visibility, and margin targets for catalog offerings, custom assemblies, bundled solutions, and project-specific product packages.

Customer and stakeholder satisfaction: Maintains strong alignment with sales, design, operations, sourcing, project delivery, vendors, and customers through responsive communication and clear ownership of product-related decisions.

Market and technology awareness: Regularly incorporates emerging AI/HPC infrastructure trends, connectivity standards, density requirements, and customer requirements into the product roadmap and solution strategy.

Required Qualifications

5-8 years of experience in product management, solution development, technical sales, infrastructure operations, or related roles within data center, telecom, structured cabling, or technology infrastructure environments.

Strong understanding of fiber and copper cabling systems, including patch cords, trunks, bundled jumpers, MPO/MTP assemblies, AOC/DAC solutions, labeling, testing, and field deployment considerations.

Experience converting technical and customer requirements into product specifications, standard configurations, bills of material, and commercial offerings.

Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, sourcing, operations, vendors, and executive stakeholders.

Strong business acumen with the ability to support pricing, margin analysis, product positioning, competitive comparison, and go-to-market planning.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related product documentation tools.

Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving customer and market requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AI data center, GPU cluster, HPC, hyperscale, or high-density structured cabling deployments.

Familiarity with data center networking architectures, including leaf-spine designs, rack-to-rack connectivity, high-speed optical links, and low-latency infrastructure requirements.

Experience developing bundled, pre-terminated, modular, or kitted cabling solutions to improve deployment speed and reduce field installation risk.

Knowledge of industry standards and best practices such as BICSI, TIA, NEC, OSHA, and data center installation guidelines.

Experience working with manufacturers, distributors, OEM/ODM partners, or supply chain teams to source and qualify custom cabling assemblies.

Experience with Procore, CRM tools, ERP platforms, or product/catalog management systems.
