Description

PingWind is seeking a Product Manager to join our team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a fully remote position responsible to define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business units and technical stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and leadership to align priorities and manage expectations.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clear definition and acceptance criteria for user stories and features.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to product stability, security, and delivery timelines.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product adoption, reliability, and business impact.
  • Drive ongoing enhancements to the product based on user feedback, analytics, and emerging technology trends.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of product, processes, and features for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure the platform adheres to security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage a small team of product managers 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or IT project management, preferably with API platforms or integration technologies.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and API management tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (i.e. AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects or products in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with security, authentication, and authorization standards (e.g., OAuth, JWT) is a plus.

Salary Range

$100k-$140K
