About the role

About interface.ai http://interface.ai

interface.ai http://interface.ai is the agentic AI platform for financial services — bringing conversational and agentic AI to the credit unions and community banks that serve everyday Americans. We're not a lab, we're not a demo company, and we're not burning runway on hypotheticals. We are in production, generating real revenue, and on a mission that matters: making intelligent financial services available to the millions of people who've never had a private banker.

More than 100 banks and credit unions run on interface.ai http://interface.ai, reaching over 10 million people. Many products are live today; the biggest bets — an AI-first contact center and an AI-native consumer banking experience — are what comes next. Backed by $30M in Series A funding and already cash-flow positive, we're at the inflection point: a proven product, paying customers, and a profitable business rebuilding itself as an AI-native company to lead a world where agents, not software, do the work.

The Role

As a Product Manager, you own execution for a defined feature area within a domain that's already been scoped by a Domain or Principal PM. You run discovery with customers and internal teams, write specs, define acceptance criteria, and ship — fast, and well. You partner closely with an engineer day-to-day, bringing real judgment to the details even when the bigger roadmap isn't yours to set yet. This is the seat to build the muscle of owning outcomes before stepping into full domain ownership.

What You'll Own

  • Feature specs and acceptance criteria for a defined area within a larger domain
  • Day-to-day partnership with an engineer to ship, iterate, and fix what's not working
  • Lightweight discovery — talking to customers, support, and internal teams to find what's actually broken or missing
  • Tracking the metrics that show whether what you shipped actually worked
  • An AI-native way of working — using AI daily to move faster, not just to write copy

What We're Looking For

  • 2–3 years in product management (or 1–2 years PM plus a strong analytical/technical background — e.g., APM program, data/BI analyst, technical consultant, or engineer moving into PM)
  • Comfortable executing against a roadmap set by others while bringing real judgment to the specifics — you don't need the full ambiguity of domain ownership yet, but you can't be a ticket-taker either
  • Strong written communication — a spec someone can build from without you in the room
  • First-principles problem-solving and comfort with the pace of a startup building process where none exists
  • AI-native workflow — you build with AI daily; the specific tools don't matter
  • San Francisco-based and committed to working onsite. H1B transfers welcome.

Who Tends To Thrive Here

The strongest profiles tend to be people who are hungry to own more than they currently do — they've shipped real things, taken real feedback, and are ready to be judged on outcomes, not just output. You don't need to have run a domain before. You do need to show you can take a messy, real problem and turn it into something an engineer can build from, without someone else doing that thinking for you.

Bonus Points

  • Financial services, fintech, or regulated-industry exposure
  • Conversational AI or voice product exposure
  • Technical background (CS degree, bootcamp, or hands-on building experience)
  • Experience in a fast-moving startup environment

What This Role Is — And Isn't

This is a real execution seat, not a backlog-administration one — you're expected to bring judgment, not just move tickets. It's also not a full domain-ownership role yet: the bigger roadmap and strategy for your area come from a Domain or Principal PM above you. If you're looking to set company strategy on day one, this isn't that seat. If you're looking for the fastest path to earning that seat by actually shipping and owning outcomes, this is it.

Why interface.ai http://interface.ai

Series A · $30M raised · Cash-flow positive — we're not burning cash hoping the product works. It works. Customers are live, revenue is real, and the mission is one you can explain to your family without a slide deck.

You'll work directly with Bruce Kim (CTO / Co-Founder), who sets the technical bar and goes deep on the hardest problems, and Srinivas Njay (CEO), who is hands-on daily across product and engineering. Founding-team-tier equity, top-of-market base, comprehensive benefits, and a modern San Francisco office worth showing up to. The team is small enough that your judgment shapes everything, and the market is large enough that what you build will matter for a long time.
